Not sure of their current set up at Spendthrift, as its owned by different people, but back in the 80s they stood a massive amount of stallions. So its possible they have more stallion stalls available. In 1986 they stood 40 stallions. Yes they isn't a mistype, they had 40 stallions.

Edit to add: they said at one point they had interest but the price wasn't right. It's now September and nothing has been announced. The owner may need to reevaluate his right price.

This site keeps track of new stallions, stallions that move, die, etc. She also shows stallions that are going somewhere at some point, so for example, Gulfport is on there but he shouldn't be retiring in 2023.

Uncle Mo may not have had the same quality of mares in his first book that a Gun Runner would attract, his racing career was cut short.

Edited to add: Uncle Mo's 2012 stud fee was $35K vs Gun Runner in 2020 at $70K
