Apparently Noble Indy has played the claim game for a while, but has also run in stakes since his first claiming races.

...and he's apparently racing in Puerto Rico now. However he was claimed from Repole a long time prior and ran in stakes before then.

this one isn't for the Avengers. probably Petersen?
Repole was underbidder
i think we'll have to wait and see who he purchased for, but if it had been the Avengers it would have said "Donato Lanni for SF/Madaket/Starlight". i believe it was for Petersen tho.
do you have any underbidders for the other top prices?
On Zedan Stables's social media, it says the session-topper was for Zedan.

Anyone been checking the RNA to Sale section of the results? They've actually got it updated, at least through the 3rd session.

One that intrigued me was the Arrogate 1/2 sister to Laoban, sold to "SVG, Agent for Vekoma LLC" for $175k. Dafuq? Does that have any relationship to Vekoma the stallion?

I don't know. I tried looking at various places, Equineline auction results for 2021/2022 show Vekoma LLC, Racing, Holdings and Thoroughbreds have bought yearlings. Kind of weird there are so many variations of the name but I checked 2018-2022 and those were the only years the name has been used. Google search doesn't pull anything but Vekoma (the stallion) and Vekoma (the rollercoast/amusement ride manufacturer).

Did you happen to note whether all the purchases were female? I have seen this a few times in the past, where they are buying future mates for a stallion.

Has he used Baffert before? Clearly he is going to start to.
This would seem to indicate sticking with Pletcher and not Baffert https://twitter.com/repolestable/status ... Fee_nRl1Sw

Wow. The filly really let the colt have it (I could hear the 'smack' on his barrel with the sound up), so I hope there were no injuries to either youngster.

Yes that was a big smack- she let him really have it. I wonder if she was in estrus? Maybe they need to do a better job separating colts and fillies for just this reason.

They weren't, I did check that at the time. 4 out of 6 at 2022 Keeneland September were colts.

In 2021, Vekoma Racing partnered on the Munnings filly I mentioned above. Vekoma Holdings bought 2 colts. Vekoma Thoroughbreds bought a gelding.

Similar to the situation at Tatts October, six newly turned 2 year olds that were purchased at Keeneland September last year by Richard Knight on behalf of Saleh Al Homaizi are being reoffered for sale due to nonpayment

Sounds like this “ businessman” needs to be banned from sales moving forward- first Tatts now Kenneland. Looks like some nice horses!

There’s more-Apparently he did the same things at the Goffs sale in Sept where he bought 2 horses for millions then did not pay.

OK, I'm confused. And likely because I'm certifiably dumb on things like this! But how does one bid millions of dollars at an auction, sign the tickets, and then NOT pay for the purchases? I honestly thought that the buyer has to take possession of his or her new horses within a certain number of hours after the sale. So, how does the physical transfer of custody of the horses take place in that timeframe without the funds being wired from the buyer's bank account to the sales company account? This guy has to have a line of credit established prior to the sale, or he wouldn't be permitted to bid, right?

If he is a repeat offender, what possible gain does he make by doing this? It just doesn't make any sense to me! Somebody help me!!
