Since Baaeed has been compared to Frankel, it's not surprising that he is also avoiding the Arc.
IMHO, this also means that Baaeed can never be compared to his sire, the actually great Sea the Stars.

Connections of Baaeed never had any intention of going for the Arc it was always the Champion Stakes.

If he had gone for the Arc he would have been taking on harden mile and half horses

Also the going has to be taken into consideration and if you get a bad draw you might as well stay at home.

Racing is about opinions and mine is he would have got beat if he had gone for it

If we all had the same opinion it would be a boring world lol

He will only meet a few rivals in the Champion Stakes

As B A has said you can never compare him to Sea The Stars now

He certainly has had a terrific career, both as a jockey and a trainer. Miesque and Goldikova were rare gems.

The Aga Khans Vadeni will sidestep the Champion Stakes at Ascot and will run in the Arc at Longchamp instead.

Connections feel the going will be better with drying weather forecast for Longchamp.
