It is neat though. The way it kind of blends in/connects with her facial markings.

The aforementioned Australian colt Sweet Ride (by Deep Field) upset the G3 San Domenico Stakes in late August. More recently, he was third in the G2 Run to the Rose.

Classic blood mark (aka "bloody shoulder") it's a somatic mutation. Seems to have originated in Arabians and is still more commonly seen in that breed.

Here's foundation sire the Bloody Shouldered Arabian imported to England ca. 1719
It can be on any part of the body, not just the shoulder ex. this OTTB https://twitter.com/FloridaTrac/status/ ... 0369998848

Woke up this morning thinking about how cool it would be for Breyer to make a Sodashi. I don't think they've done many international thoroughbreds, but they would sell out immediately. Japan already has a ton of horse merch (which we don't do here ) but they don't have models like that, from what I've seen.
First white thoroughbred to win a G1 race and championship. Surely that warrants a model <3.

That filly's somatic mutation didn't originate with an Arabian. They are not heriditary, it's literally a one time in utero mutation. In this case, those cells didn't get the grey memo.Miss Woodford wrote: ↑Mon Oct 10, 2022 12:04 amClassic blood mark (aka "bloody shoulder") it's a somatic mutation. On the subject of grays, I've noticed that Fiber Sonde offspring tend to gray out rather slowly.
Muad'dib (Fiber Sonde x Holy Pow Wow by Indian Charlie) at 3
Muad'dib at 4.
Muad'dib at 5 from this past weekend, now a lovely rosy color.

And he won again. He's really pretty good for a WV-bred.

Probably not the most unique in the world, but Destiny's Love (by Even the Score) is completely light gray, save for a super dark gray or black patch on her mane.
