Any guesses how much Marion Ravenwood sells for?

Probably less than you would think as she is getting a little older, but more importantly, hasn't produced a foal since 2020. Still, she is certainly is a producer of runners if the new owners can get her foal more regularly.

Not sure about Callingmissbrown, but Marion Ravenwood is selling i/f to Curlin (sire of both of those G1 winners).

Who will buy here, Coolmore or a Yoshida brother? She’s already by No Nay Never.

Those were my guesses when I saw she was at Juddmonte. I don't think they typically board outside mares unless they are visiting one of their stallions.
brunanas wrote: Mon Aug 15, 2022 1:00 pm

yup, Greg said those two are the likely options
I'm always a BIG fan of Kingman.
But my pick is Frankel for this time.
Kingman's Japan-trained babies have been a bit lackluster and actually winless this year in JRA.
So I would be surprised if it was not Frankel.
Yoshida should have sent the best mare to the stallion who was thought to be the best.
I have tried to pull Frankel's 2022 book about 10x and it's still not in 😭 They have until September 1, I believe.
Is there any fresh news?
I haven't seen anything from the Japanese source yet.

No, I keep trying and it pops in with just 1 mare listed  Kingman's is the same way.

i understood what the writer meant but "close to delivering her first foal" followed by "she lost her first foal in 2020" was a little awkward to read. very best wishes for her, her foal, and all the people involved.

To fill your fascinating/slightly gross quota for the day, trainer Richard Fahey shared the foaling video of his unbeaten G3 winning two year old filly Midnight Mile. By No Nay Never, out of Ruby Tuesday (by Galileo), Midnight Mile was bred at Coolmore and delivered via C Section at Fethard Equine Hospital. Her dam made a full recovery.

Benjamin Leon Jr. talks about Besilu Stables, Royal Delta, Delta's Royalty, Crown Queen and his plans for the future. Photo of Delta's Royalty in the article. He says Crown Queen will be returning to the US to be bred in 2023. Delta's Royalty will stay in Europe for now but he does plan on sending her to the US at some point in the future.

Yeah, I do wish Royal Delta had been tried on the turf. She was such a lovely mare.

Her brother, Delta Prince, did win on the grass...and then we tragically lost him to colic/laminitis/renal failure before he even had a chance to stand at stud. :(
That whole family seemed cursed.
