I think there is some interest in horses in the family, but I don't know if anyone has the passion (or the pocketbook) to run a whole racing stable.
Maybe Hayes has an opinion about who might step into The Queen's role.

My heartfelt condolences to everyone Across the Pond on the loss of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II.
She was a great friend to horse racing, and I can't imagine that Royal Ascot will ever be the same.

Same. I follow the BRF, I adore HM. Her father is my favorite Royal - he introduced his beloved daughter to horse racing. I always got a kick out of seeing HM and her mum, the Queen Mother, at the races - QM loved to bet, lol. It was her horse, Devon Loch, who spread eagled at the end of the Grand National.

Her 6ft 4in Page of the Backstairs Paul Whybrew - ‘Tall Paul’ - and Barry Mitford, her Serjeant-at-Arms were with her, as always. The two men were her regular companions, bringing her the Racing Post each day and companionably sitting with her to watch her favourite sport on the television.

i dont think any of the Royal Family are interested in horse racing like the Queen.

Princess Anne did a bit of show jumping and eventing.

But i believe Charles will keep his late mothers interest in horse racing going.

Charles and Camilla have a couple of their own homebreds in training, hopefully they will want to manage an operation that was as large as The Queen’s. At 96 years old, I’m sure Her Majesty had every I dotted and T crossed in terms of her affairs being arranged.

i too wish to offer my sincere sympathy to everyone in the UK at the loss of your wonderful Queen - i appreciated her greatly - such a classy, dignified, noble lady - my whole life she has been Queen - i will miss seeing her with her dogs and horses - what a great, great lady - i am so sorry for your loss - to say she will be missed, is a huge understatement - and racing lost a most faithful friend.... i so enjoyed seeing her each year at ascot in the horse drawn carriages - it will never be the same - but i am grateful we enjoyed her grace for as long as we did - - rest in peace dear lady.

Besides the future of The Queen's Thoroughbred stable, I would like to know what will happen to her other equine passion - the Fell Ponies she bred and showed.
The last photo I remember seeing of her out riding (last year, maybe?) was on her sturdy grey Fell Pony.

After 70 years, it's going to be very strange next August celebrating the "King's Plate" at Woodbine! And looking at the now current line of succession, it looks like it will be at least another 70 years before there's any chance of the name changing back. And that would only be if George's firstborn is a girl!

Over the next 2 days there are 20 Group Races from Leopardstown Curragh Doncaster and Longchamp including the Arc Trials

Looking at the RacingPost cards for Saturday, Doncaster, Ffos Las, Lingfield, Chelmsford, Chester and Musselburgh are all listed as "Abandoned,' I presume due to the passing of Queen Elizabeth.
I see that Verry Elleegant is running in the G2 Prix Foy, which is early in the Longchamp card. Think I'll have to record the early morning hours on TVG (refusing to call it Fanduel atm) and watch later. LIke after the sun rises.
