Yeah, gutsy win for her! She was second last out in the Woodbine Oaks, and the favorite in this race today. She is Hard Spun's 95th stakes winner!

Sooooo....NECKER ISLAND set a record for 6f in 1:07:72 at Colonial Downs today finishing first in race #8, the Chesapeake Stakes. However, he was disqualified for interference and placed third. So, here's the rub....does he still get credit for the track record? Also found out that the DQ was very controversial, as some maintained that another horse started the interference and should have been the one DQed.

SNAP DECISION absolutely romped in the G1 Jonathan Sheppard Handicap at Saratoga today by 13 1/2 lengths, with his ears pricked. Carried 164 lbs, 24 lbs more than horse that finished second. His record over jumps is now 16-11-5-0.

Yes, I did notice that, too. You would think winning 3 G1 races would earn at least a mention. What if he wins the Eclipse Award? I wonder if they will finally be moved to mention him then???

This video is for the whole day. Race #5 paddock & post parade starts at 2:28:00 and race starts at 2:40:00. Midway through the race the picture goes black, so I just clicked with the curser a little ahead of that point in the video to catch up with the field on the back stretch and see the remainder of the race.

SPUN LINE won race #4, the Portales Overnight Stakes at Assiniboia Downs yesterday. Her record is now 45-11-5-9. I don't think this race counts as black type because the purse was only $24,000.
