I wonder if the owner is still waiting for a decent farm to want to stand Strad.

I thought he'd implied there was offers for him to stand somewhere local?
Anyway, I have mixed views:
1. There's nobody clamoring to breed to him
2. But horses like Yeats have been very successful as jumps stallions
3. He's had some rather poor rides this year and I don't think he's truly lost a step
4. If Strad is happy doing what he does, no rush to damper that
5. But he's probably the one horse where "he has nothing left to prove" is 100% accurate

Very good card at Deauville today obviously the stand out race is the Prix Jacques Le Marois.
The three standouts are Coroebus winner of 2 group1s St James Palace Stakes and 2,000 Gns
Inspiral winner of the group 1 Coronation Stakes at Ascot
And globe trotting State Of Rest winner of Saratoga Derby the ,Prix Ganay Prince Of Wales at Ascot and the Cox Plate down under all Groups 1s
Hope Erevann can get in the frame for the Aga Khan
But im siding with Inspiral as she was so impressive when winning the Coronation Stakes.

We paid a visit to Verry Elleegant at her new home in Chantilly to chat with @GraffardRacing about her progress and the influence @cwallerracing is still having on her training. She is on track to make her European debut in the Group 1 Prix Jean Romanet at Deauville August 21.

Deauville takes centre stage today with 2 group 1s and 2 group 2s
Be intresting to see how the Aussie horse Verry Elleegant gets on today trading around 7/4 at the moment.
Ive had a small each way on Ebaiyra at 5/1 hoping she can nick a place
The Prix Morny look a good race
Persian Force has been on the go since April he is a tough sort.6/4 at the moment
The Betting suggests that Blackbeard is Aiden Obrien no 1 at 11/8 The Antarctic trading 12/1
Racing in the U K is very low key over the next 3 to 4 days.

I noticed that Blackbeard drops nearly to his knees after pawing with his front leg. It seemed to happen when the stalls handlers were trying to move him, and I wondered if the colt was feeling more of his "fight" instincts over "flight." When wild stallions fight, they will lower their head, even kneeling, while trying to bite the back of their opponent's rear legs. Trying to literally 'hamstring' the other stud.
Blackbeard could be expressing a stallion's urge to fight...until he finally loads and gets to unload his fierce flight.
