Rather dumb/annoying that El Turf now requires you to pay them for a subscription just to view horse profiles.

in a shocker, London Moon was second to 32-1 shot Ladário (a Hat Trick!), who broke his maiden in the Gr. champion 2YO Filly Little Beauty faded badly to 10th in a race won by People Ask, also by Hat Trick, so he sired the winners of the 2 major Gr. I races for 3YOs today. Replay here

It was London Moon who held off very GAMELY his rival Ladario to finish first.
But after a objection from the jockey of Ladario, London Moon was disqualified and demoted to the second place.

The steward may have made the right decision.
I have no complaint about that.
But, as far as I'm concerned, London Moon remains the best horse.
I look forward to seeing the rematch between the two.
When will we see it?

that was a tiiiiny detail i forgot to mention and i 100% agree with you, it was the right decision but London Moon is better. i believe Ladário will now frequently race in the big stage after this performance, so wherever London Moon goes, i believe he'll also go. i'll let you know when i see anything!tachyon wrote: ↑Mon Aug 08, 2022 9:11 amWhat a race!!brunanas wrote: ↑Sun Aug 07, 2022 6:01 pmin a shocker, London Moon was second to 32-1 shot Ladário (a Hat Trick!), who broke his maiden in the Gr. (As he is not so tall, he had some difficulty covering tall broodmares. But he managed to get the job done, after finding different approaches by himself.)

''We chose broodmares for him having Deep Impact in mind. But it's possible that his babies will be of different types. We are going to adjust after seeing his first crop.''

I believe that Heart's Cry is underrated like almost all of the Sunday Silence sons are.

Zenno Rob Roy(JPN), one of the best sons of Sunday Silence, died of heart failure at Murakami Bokujo on Sep 2nd 2022.
He was the JRA Horse of the Year in 2004 with his three straight major G1 victories (Tenno Sho Autumn, Japan Cup and Arima KInen).
At stud, he sired Japanese Oaks winner Saint Emilion in 2010.
May he rest in peace.

The chestnut in the Tenno Sho was Lohengrin, right? I ADORED Singspiel, so I tracked down as many of his foals as I could, and Lohengrin was one of them.
