Sorry...hope you heal completely.
oh no i just meant it was on the 12th haha should've worded it better. this was my first and hopefully the only one. woke up shaking in pain now at 8am
Can you get more/ better pain meds?
my doctor gave me 2 more pills in addition to the 2 that i was already taking, but tbh the only thing that helped at all was morphine but i can't keep getting injected with it. he said the pain should go away at least a little bit by tomorrow or monday at best, but dang it hurts like crap

Coincidentally, Orange Valley Estates Farm just announced that MG2W Kettle Corn (Candy Ride × Somethingbeautiful, by Lil E. Tee) is now standing there.

Kettle Corn has over $2 million in total progeny earnings.

Also, I'm pretty sure G1W Currency Swap (by High Cotton) is currently standing in Ecuador.

Interestingly, he's currently 11th on both the General Sires list and the Broodmare Sires list. He's gotten so many good mares over the years that he SHOULD be a good broodmare sire.

I hope he becomes a really good one because, even though I adore Frosted and a couple other sons at stud,I don't thinks hes gonna be a sire of sires. I mean look at his daughters crossed to gun runner and medaglia d'oro for examples(though for the life of me i cannot think of any horses names  ) but i know one of untappables full sisters has a decent gun runner baby.

At least being 18, he's on the younger side.

Most of the ID pictures on the Korean Studbook website are taken as soon as they get off the plane/boat, so most of them look a little worse for wear. If it's those pictures I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Additionally, from my understanding stallions in Korea are kept in a much more natural environment (stay outside most of the day, larger pastures, etc) so they don't look "normal." They aren't as fat as the ones kept in stalls most of the time and they don't trim their manes as much.

I also remember fuss when pictures of Hansen were posted because his mane was super long and unkempt. However, his coat was shiny and he appeared to be at average weight.

I know that racing/breeding in Korea has "problems" shall we say that we aren't used to, but it's fairly common for much ado to be made about what boils down to cultural differences.

Ads for Nashville on the Saratoga Live stream are funny.

The horses never ran in the Breeders' Cup Sprint. He barely ran.

Jonesboro who earned 1.55 million dollars and is a son of Mom's Command is in desperate need of a retirement farm. I saw the post in a FB group. People suggested reaching out to Old Friends but the OP said "they want to try something different first". Really hope the old guy gets a soft landing, not many people will take a 20 yr old stallion

Is the OP looking to give him away wanting to sell him? Most aftercare/rehoming groups are more geared towards younger horses than can continue to have careers. You're right not many people will take a 20 year old stallion, that would just be a yard ornament.

Well, I'm sure every single poster here probably would take him if we had the means to do so ;)

I'm not sure that Jonesboro is "champion" enough for KY Horse Park so Old Friends would probably be the best.

Something different? Wow. Imagine Old Friends not being a soft enough landing for your horse in need of a retirement farm.

Old Friends, New Vocations, etc. are the most mainstream aftercare outfits (IMO) so they get the most attention. I think it's important to give attention to the other ones all across the continent, since those two can't do it all.

However, there's not really a better outfit for pensioned stallions than Old Friends. The older a stallion gets and they longer they breed, it becomes harder for them to be retrained, and they are overall less marketable. However, Old Friends will eventually run out of room or be full for periods of time (they have a revolving door of Shadwell horses evidently) so what are we to do with stallions that apparently can't stay at the farms they've been at in retirement?
