Steve Haskin was taken in by her just like those who contributed financially. Don't assume he has no regrets and that these events haven't affected him emotionally. He truly cares for horses and has been as disappointed by people in this business as have many fans.

Oh, I am sure of it. Don't get me wrong; I am sure he has regrets and this affected him. But when all of this broke I just assumed he would issue a statement.

Ok so I'm doing some digging and... what a shitshow. It looks like Lisa Dunckley owned a warmlood stallion, Alberich, in partnership with a Kelly Gage. Alberich was reported missing and/or stolen in 2019. Kelly Gage owns/operated Team EnGage, a dressage organization. On their Facebook page you can see very frequent posts about Lisa and the neglect situation. It looks like Lisa stole horses from Dunckley and another person and kept them hidden at various properties, where they were neglected.

Based on some posts, it looks like Alberich actually died of neglect from Lisa. There is a horse with the same facial markings pictured in a severe emaciated state on Facebook. He has a half brother, a near-lookalike named Joyride, who is also missing. Under oath, Lisa has denied being responsible for the death of Alberich and refuses to disclose the location of Joyride.
