Yesterday was the first day of the 3 day sale the market was strong.

Top lot of day one was Shamardal colt out of Lady Frankel which was bought by Godolphin for 1 million 600 thousand euros

First crop of To Darn Hot was on sale the first lot sold for 110,000 euros

Yearling colt full brother to Champion Stakes winner Sealiway fetched 300,000 euros

American Trainer Ken Mcpeek purchased 4 lots working with My Racehorse he bought lot 74 filly by Wootton Bassett out of One Last Night for 200,000 euros.

My Racehorse also bought a Justify filly for 100,000 euros

Ken Mcpeek also bought a Zarak filly for one of his owners for 80,000

Can anyone tell me where he is based and what track he runs most of his horses

Looking forward to day 2 Zarak filly of of Varsity related to La Parisenne she looks so much like her dad

Japanese trainer Yoshito Yahagi who missed out on the Shamadal yearling yesterday bought a full brother to Arc winner Sottass for 2. 1 million euros at todays sales

Half brother too Treve sold for 260. 000 euros

Kenny McPeek is probably best known for his excellent fillies Take Charge Lady and Swiss Skydiver. He is based in Kentucky, but runs his horses all over.

McPeek was the bloodstock agent that "discovered" Curlin at KeeSept 2005. He signed the ticket for $57K from Eaton Sales Consignment with no client disclosed. At that time, Ken was working as a bloodstock agent only and didn't have an active barn of his own. His top assistant, Helen Pitts, had taken over his operation and she received Curlin into her barn. She provided his early development, and when he won his debut, early in his 3yo season, by oh, let's say 324 lengths (obviously kidding), in steps Jess Jackson, the colt is transferred to Steve Assmussen, and the rest is history! McPeek deserves a lot of credit for smoking that one out! Especially when, based on the hammer price of $57K, nobody else smelled the smoke!!

“Of course his pedigree is excellent,” said Yahagi after signing the seven-figure docket. “Sottsass won the Arc and My Sister Nat was second to my horse [Loves Only You] in last year’s Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Turf. He’s a good moving horse and I love him. I will bring him to Japan and I hope he will win the Japanese Derby."

Yahagi added that he could not reveal who would own the colt but said it was a “new Japanese owner.”

Now, Japanese fans have got to wonder who the ''new Japanese owner'' is.
Susumu Fujita, owner & producer of Umamusume, has been quite active recently.
But, will Yahagi describe him as a ''new'' owner???? Then who it will be????? etc etc.
