And Jack Christopher.

Spendthrift did it with Jackie’s Warrior too. It’s not the worst strategy.

didn't remember JW's rights being bought when he was a 2YO (and still, at the time he was already a 2x G1W), and i don't think Jack Christopher rights have been bought at all (but i might be mistaken). i agree it might not be a bad strategy, but again, he just has 2 starts. we haven't even had the chance to see the true quality of the horses he's beaten. he might turn out to be a really good one but also might turn out to never win again. it's too early imo

last worked 3 months ago. probably just on a break following a heavy 2021 but his connections don't usually answer questions about the whereabouts of their horses so hard to be sure.

I think Coolmore and Peter Brandt bought into Jack Christopher after his maiden win. There was no formal announcement about it (at least, not on Bloodhorse), but I read old articles and before Jack Christopher's Champagne win, he was owned by Jim Bakke and Gerald Isbister, but the article on his Champagne win has him also owned by Coolmore and Brandt. Definitely a gamble, but I'd say in Jack Christopher's case, it has paid off. He's not a two turn horse, but we all know sprinters and milers can do very well at stud here.

They bought 33% after his maiden win. Brant said he bought into him for breeding purposes here: https://www.bloodhorse.com/horse-racing ... wner-bakke

I don't think I've seen such an antique "horse trailer" used except in historical dramas c. 1920s.

I think the ramp isn't connected to the truck.
