Its a mix of him winning - 4 out of 5 starts, a 3yo TC prep race, a 8f G1, his first 4 races by open lengths
having a commercial pedigree
his ownership group to support him
beating Knicks Go in their only meetup (yes he lost the race too but doesn't matter)

I thought the 50k stud fee was a big reach when they first announced it but everyone seems fine with it.

tbf if Tiz had entered stud earlier than he did he'd probably have gotten more mares and a drop this year. also like someone said not all reports are out yet so some of them might see a rise on the numbers shown rn

i don't think it will change too much though. most of them will still have dropped to some extent, that if their numbers change at all

Its just how it is. The vast majority of stallions will have their first crop be their biggest crop of foals, until they prove they deserve to be bred to more mares. Its uncommon for a stallion to get more mares bred in his 2nd to 4th year at stud.
