It's neat to see that her 4th dam is the ill-fated Sonic Lady, who died at 13 in a paddock accident. She won 4 G1s at a mile, including 2 over the boys. She also ran 3rd to Miesque in the 1987 BC Mile.

It's very nice to hear about Sonic Lady(USA).
Soninke(GB), daughter of Sonic Lady, was imported to Japan by Northern Farm in 2001 to become one of the key foundation mares for Katsumi Yoshida's operation.
Logi Universe(JPN)(Japanese Derby winner) and Deirdre(JPN)(Shuka Sho & Nassau Stakes winner) are out of this female family.

ALL of graded races in JRA have been open to foreign-based horses since 2010.

Japanese fans want to see more foreign-based horses!!
There must be several reasons for why foreign-based horses rarely come to big Japanese races.

1. Japanese turf courses may be too quick for foreign-based runners (especially for europeans).

2. Quarantine procedures may be a bit too complicated for the visitors.

3. Japanese horses became stronger than what they used to be.

I guess that she was just tired after finishing 13th of 17 horse.
She ran brave but that was truly a strong and tiring race.

Titlleholder is now very likely to run in the Arc in Autumn.
He is the first horse to achieve the Tenno Sho Spring and the Takarazuka Kinen double since Deep Impact in 2006.
I thought Daring Tact ran a great race, too.

“This was my fourth race with Titleholder and I knew how the colt could run in good rhythm. The pace
was fast but I wasn’t concerned because he still had enough power left at the straight. He’s still in the
