Ribot

When im in better health i want to vist the National Stud at Newmarket to see first season sire Rajasinghe as he is a sire im following.

Waiting All Night run a cracker in the Coventry Stakes at Ascot coming 5th at 150/1

He is owned by Phil Cunningham who has all his horses with Richard Spencer.

He has around 12 two year olds with Richard all by Rajasinghe i think its a joint venture.

ribot90: "I saw him race along with his sire."

You got to see Dubai Millennium race in person!? I am SO jealous.
TVG had a team at the Dubai World Cup that DM won, and I got to watch the race on TV. IMO, that bay stallion was the most beautiful, perfect TB I've seen. All the best aspects of the Arabian forebears showed in his chiselled head, with big, dark eyes framed by dark skin and a dark, fine muzzle. The look of eagles.
Considering how Dubawi has become a breed-influencing sire, it is tragic that we had only one crop (IIRC) from Dubai Millennium.

hello Baroque
yes I was at Royal Ascot when he won the Prince of Wales Stakes - Jerry Bailey up so for me he had great hands the race was won when they came of the home turn.. very easy. Yes it was a really shame he only did 1 season at stud. He was a really lovely colt bigger than Dubawi but perfect . I like Shareef Dancer and used him a few times ..I've still got my Shareef Dancer mare she is now 27 and still the boss.

Also was lucky enough to see Dancing Brave win the King George and then see him at Stud before he went to Japan

Hello Hayes

Richard Spencer trained Rajasinghe so not surprised he wants alot of his offspring.

On Dragon Symbol I was disappointed he ran poorly but I think I would move him up in distant to maybe 7f or 8f.
Sheikh Albadou ran 3l to Marling and Selkirk in the Sussex and if he had a clear run instead of 4th he may have got 2nd

Baaeed , Desert Crown , and Adayar head the entries for the Aug. 17 Juddmonte International Stakes (G1) at York, a race that could also feature leading 3-year-old fillies Tuesday , Nashwa , and Inspiral .

Last year's one-two Mishriff and Alenquer are also among the 34 possibles for the race, with the pair likely to meet first in the July 2 Coral-Eclipse Stakes (G1).

Godolphin-owned 3-year-olds Coroebus and Native Trail , winners of the QIPCO Two Thousand Guineas Stakes (G1) and Tattersalls Irish Two Thousand Guineas (G1), respectively, also hold entries, as does the Jean-Claude Rouget-trained Qatar Prix du Jockey Club (G1) star Vadeni .
:o :o :o Race of the year? Even if only some of these named show up; that's a marquee field.

John Gosden has 2 runners at Newmarket on Saturday ,Stowell running in a group 3 and Sunray Major in a listed event, frankie Dettori not riding either.

Frankie is at the meeting as he has got a ride for Ralph Beckett.

Is this the downfall of Frankie ?

Not surprising to see aftershocks following Frankie’s performances at Ascot, but it still is disappointing to see what looks like the beginning of the end for what had been a dynamic duo. Or maybe theyre just taking a break for a few weeks and will reunite for some upcoming group 1 contests. I think seeing whoever rides Inspiral next will dictate the true state of affairs.

I don’t want to see Frankie lose his job as stable jockey, but Hollie Doyle is currently favoured to replace him, and honestly… that would be awesome.

Can't tell a lot from the photo with that article, but it looks like three out of the four horses shown were wearing the same owner silks. And the background looks like a bush track.

They are the silks of Yulong Investmests, owned by Zhang Yue Sheng. Every year he buys a ton of middle-low end yearlings and sends them to China to race. He also owns nice European horses like Lucky Vega and Magical Lagoon and nice Australian horses like Hungry Heart. He spent about $30,000,000 on broodmares at Magic Millions a couple weeks ago.

It seems like, in a business relationship, the right thing to do is to have a conversation in person about making changes/parting company/whatever is happening here. John Gosden made no bones about the fact that he was unhappy with some of Frankie's Royal Ascot rides, particularly on Stradivarius. That's totally justified. But the way this is playing out is strange and unprofessional.

Royal Patronage unplaced in the Epsom Derby will race for the last time for Mark and Charlie Johnston in the Belmont Derby.

Then will continue his career in the U S with Graham Motion.

As much as I rely on the Racing Post for news, they have made an absolute meal of this whole situation and are definitely making it worse. Posting 5 articles in the last 24 hours about the situation, most of which are just speculative pieces.

Dettori’s agent, Peter Burrell, is giving comments to RP and Nick Luck’s podcast saying he is assuming the partnership is over, but he is also in Morocco with no internet and only find out after making those public statements thar Dettori and the Gosdens have a meeting today in Newmarket to discuss the situation. Burrell is saying he doesn’t want to stir the pot but he certainly isn’t helping.

https://www.racingpost.com/news/potenti ... ure/564384

This whole situation is showing a lack of professionalism and communication on both sides, something that isnt that surprising with Frankie but is surprising with Gosden. Were Gosden’s comments post race justified? Yes. Should he have repeated them the next day? I don’t think so. Should they have called Frankie back this week to let him know they wouldn’t be using him? Yes. Should Dettori’s manager, without internet, jumped in there and have given a bunch of contradicting comments to the press before getting a straight answer from Gosden himself? No.
