I love Golden Pal, but I don't love Ward's decision to put Irad Ortiz on all his Ascot runners. Ortiz has very little (once?) experience riding at Ascot, and his dirt (dirty?) race tactics may not translate well to that unique racecourse. I wish Wesley had tapped Johnnie V or Frankie D to ride for him again.

Bolts N Rainbows (Bolt d'Oro) won the 2nd at Churchill today, a 4 1/2-furlong MSW for 2yo fillies. If I heard correctly, this was the 6th winner for BdO, and likely one that feels good for the owner - Ruis Racing LLC.
Also may feel like vindication that BdO seems to be doing better as a sire than Justify.

Big day for three first year stallions who all got their first winners:
Cloud Computing w Bright Forecast (o/o Miss Acorn)
Mor Spirit w Velocitor (o/o Polar Plunge)
Mendelssohn w Shaqra'a Sultan (o/o Juno)
Also, Free Drop Billy got his first winner on Monday. A colt named Bourbon Therapy (o/o Naturally Naughty). Funny enough he won on the turf which FDB never won on, although it’s certainly in his pedigree with Hawkbill and Declaration of War.
