Jay Eye See won again by 2 1/2 lengths in an AOC at Calder yesterday ( race 7) it was off the turf.

Ride on Curlin also won an allowance by 2 1/2 lengths at Oaklawn race 6. I believe he is going to be pointed to the Southwest Stakes on 2/17 next.

Charlie A (2nd dam is Unbridled Elaine) looked good winning her debut today at GP by 3 lengths on the turf.

Moulin de Mougin (o/o Cambiocorsa) was 2nd in R7 at SA.

Little Curlin was 3rd in R6 at SA.

Texas Ryano (2011 c. o/o Blending Element) broke his maiden quite impressively in his first start today in a MSW at SA. Had to overcome a lot to win.

Holy cow! That's the most powerful run I've seen in a long time. How he still had energy left to come from last to first after all the bumping and stopping he endured is amazing. Can't wait to see what they have planned for him.

I agree. The beginning of the far turn it looks like he clips heels, then he gets blocked through half the stretch. His acceleration is amazing, and it was his first start. I am thoroughly impressed.

Blue Violet (2010 f. o/o Stakes Winner Gasia) won her 2014 debut in an Allowance at FG today.

Curlin has several runners coming up on the 25th:

Jay Eye See is coming off a win in an AOC to run in the Thrillin Discovery Handicap at Calder (race 8)

Bold Curlin is also coming off a win in an AOC and is entered in the Native Dancer Stakes at Laurel (race 7)

Stakes winner Flash Forward is coming off a 6th place finish in the G3 Comely Stakes to run in the Ladies Handicap at Aqueduct (race 8)

Top Billing is coming off a tough second in an AOC to Commissioner to run again in an AOC at Gulfstream (race 4)

Also Eclipse Thoroughbreds, who has joined with Dogwood, posted a picture of Curalina working in company at Aiken. (She is on the left). I love this filly and she should be going to Pletcher this summer to start her career.

Wow! First time I saw this and I am super impressed. Had I not already known he had won, I would have checked him as finished a few times during that race. Lovely! Into the VS he goes!

3rd. Held nicely but couldn't find the speed to catch the top two.

Winner by 2 lengths. Would have opened up more but had to fight his way between horses in the stretch.
Stakes winner Flash Forward is coming off a 6th place finish in the G3 Comely Stakes to run in the Ladies Handicap at Aqueduct (race 8)
2nd - the winner, Teen Pauline, romped by 10 lengths. FF was the best of the rest.
Top Billing is coming off a tough second in an AOC to Commissioner to run again in an AOC at Gulfstream (race 4)
Won by 2 lengths in a hand ride. Came from last to first while 4-wide on the outside to win easily. Looked fantastic.

What a day for Curlin Yesterday! Top Billing is definitely a derby horse for me. It looks like Curlin has at least 2 from his second crop pointed toward the derby in Top Billing and Ride on Curlin who should run next in the Southwest.

Top Billing looked great. Ran only .5 Slower than Cairo Prince in the Holy Bull. Shug sounded like he would ship him for his next start rather than head to the FOY. Here is him winning yesterday

Bold Curlin also looked good in his first stakes win. He really had to push through a tight hole. If I am not mistaken he had the eclipse winning apprentice up.

I thought Flash Forward ran well to be best of the rest of the field though there was no way she was going to beat the winner. That was a neat race in the snow. This screen cap really shows it

Image

Also not sure why but Socialbug was scratched from the Santa Monica yesterday.

Diversy Harbor (2011 f. o/o Motokiks) was another impressive maiden winner in the 6th at SA on 1/26/2014.
