He's clearly a chunk. But I don't think the photographer did him many favors, either. The wall behind him seems to be sloping slightly downward, which makes me think the photographer wasn't holding the camera quite level (the wall seems straight in other conformation photos on their site). Also, it's weird how they stood him in so that the statue is positioned so as to distract from his hindquarters.Miss Woodford wrote: ↑Thu May 26, 2022 4:54 pmNot sure if it's the tall grass/tall wall causing an illusion but he looks like a show pony.

Yeah, positioning the horse so a statue is sticking out of his butt is not exactly professional photographer protocol.

I think it’s a weird angle, at least that’s why the wall looks like that.TwilightTear wrote: ↑Thu May 26, 2022 8:15 pmHe's clearly a chunk. Are they trying to trick us or is it just a bad shot?

I hate outlined portraits, but the Photoshopping on Nashville really did not do him any favors.

Whats the link to the farm VG stands at?Miss Woodford wrote: ↑Thu May 19, 2022 6:23 pmThis reminded me I hadn't looked at our boys over there in a while and I saw that 27yo Victory Gallop - who still covers a select book of 30 mares a year - has a new (to me, anyway) conformation photo, and he looks fantastic He looks so good that I'm almost tempted to think this is a photo they uploaded of him as a younger horse, although his previous stallion photos from Turkey all show him with a bit more weight on.
It is much better than the previous one they had on the website.

There are endless TVG commercials with Barclay Tagg insisting that not only is "His (X) is perfect, his bone is perfect... .I never saw him get tired!" Um, those races he lost, he didn't get tired?Izvestia wrote: ↑Thu May 26, 2022 9:27 pmI think it’s a weird angle, at least that’s why the wall looks like that.TwilightTear wrote: ↑Thu May 26, 2022 8:15 pmHe's clearly a chunk. I ran marathons. I saw the Taj Mahal by Moonlight. I drove Highway 1 in a convertible. I petted Zenyatta.

He is owned by the Turkish Jockey Club and stands at their Ismit Covering Station. There is no website specifically for that location but he and the other TJK-owned stallions are listed on the TJK website https://www.tjk.org/EN/Yatistiricilik/S ... e/Aygirlarflytpthestars wrote: ↑Sat May 28, 2022 8:39 pmWhats the link to the farm VG stands at?Miss Woodford wrote: ↑Thu May 19, 2022 6:23 pmThis reminded me I hadn't looked at our boys over there in a while and I saw that 27yo Victory Gallop - who still covers a select book of 30 mares a year - has a new (to me, anyway) conformation photo, and he looks fantastic He looks so good that I'm almost tempted to think this is a photo they uploaded of him as a younger horse, although his previous stallion photos from Turkey all show him with a bit more weight on.

I believe he is Youmzain's first son at stud. He has his own website http://hasafet.com/

I wish they had stood him up correctly. It's a nice photograph...but he looks like he's about to fall forward on his nose.

Pretty sure VG is just aging gracefully because they just did an article about his 27th birthday at Bloodhorse and he looks fantastic! https://www.bloodhorse.com/horse-racing ... h-birthdayMiss Woodford wrote: ↑Sun May 29, 2022 2:08 amHe is owned by the Turkish Jockey Club and stands at their Ismit Covering Station. Cardinal Pioneer has that 'You lookin' at me? You lookin' at ME!?' look in his eyes.
Wolf Prince is really showing his Arabian ancestry. Very cute.

Remembering Rita won a few races/ran well during a period after someone I know named Rita passed away.
Also, I like Cardinal Pioneer.
