That seems worrisome. Has anyone read updates on Serengeti Empress' health? It looked like she was being attentive to her new foal, but then you see he's now with a nurse mare.

She seems fine in these pics

Since she looks healthy, she could have rejected her foal. Some maidens can be very sweet to their foals in the beginning and then suddenly they’ll reject them. Or she might not have been able to produce the milk the foal needed too.

Looks ok here and booked to MDO but it is curious why her foal was taken from her.

Yeah this is what I would lean towards as well. I haven't seen any photos of them together except right after the birth. There is a video on Bloodhorse that shows both of them but never together and that was from less than 2 weeks after he was born.

Oh he's beautiful! I've been wondering what son of War Front to follow obsessively the way I do with War Front, and I think it's going to be War of Will. His babies are just so nice looking.

Both War of Will foals on the farm are sweethearts and very leggy. I’m very impressed with them
