I don't imagine that Teruya Yoshida will miss the opportunity to race his horse in the Kentucky Derby.
They will come, as long as the horse is fine.

Crown Pride and his sire Reach the Crown(JPN) could have been unknown.
But I do think that he has an impeccable pedigree to contest the most prestigious race in the world!!! ;)

Yes it's true.
But I would say Naran Huleg had some turf flavor, too.
His sire Gold Allure, one the greatest sons of Sunday Silence along with Stay Gold, Deep Impact, Heart's Cry etc, was the most reputable dirt runner of Sunday Silence and he had sired many graded winners and champions solely on the dirt and he has got his first G1 winner on the turf here.
But Gold Allure handled turf well as he managed to finish 5th in the Tokyo Yushun.
His dam Kelley's Beauty(JPN) was a modest dirt performer in NAR circuit.
But her first foal Impress Winner(JPN)(by Fusaichi Concorde) was a turf G2 placed.

By the way, some of the old racing fans in Japan are delighted with Naran Huleg's victory, as he has Tamamo Cross(JPN), great champion in 1980s, as his second dam's sire.
It's very rare to find his name in big winners' pedigrees.

Thanks for the bit of trivia on Tamamo Cross. What an interesting pedigree he had, with Fortino on top and Swaps on the bottom.

Grey Sovereign thrived in Japan especially through Zeddaan and Fortino! ;)

Tamamo Cross was the best rival of Oguri Cap, one of the six heroes who made appearance in JRA's new promo video earlier.
The match-up between Oguri Cap and Tamamo Cross was called ''the summit of the greys''.
Tamamo Cross defeated Oguri Cap in the Tenno Sho Autumn and in the Japan Cup, while Oguri Cap turned the table in the Arima Kinen.

#5. Oguri Cap : Ultra-popular grey who changed the time with his honest performances (and went out a miraculous winner in the 1990 Arima Kinen)

Which horse was the most popular of the six in Japan?
Maybe . . . Oguri Cap in 1990 . . . . But I really don't know!!! :D

Yeah it seemed to be only a matter of time until she got a G1 winner when her 3rd foal Rouge Buck, very talented, beat the boys easily in the G3 Kisaragi Sho at 3 in 2015.
But Rouge Buck couldn't reach to any G1 title while claiming four graded races during her career.
Seven years later, Ginger Punch's seventh foal Potager scored his first graded win at the highest level at 5.
It looks like he is still improving and I believe that he will be pointed to the G1 Takarazuaka Kinen in June next!

Potager this morning in Ritto.
