I would presume he acquired the virus while in Saudi Arabia. While watching the races, I had noticed that masks were being worn by very few people I saw on camera, so I suspect Lemaire will not be the only one who comes home with an unwanted souvenir of their trip to the Saudi Cup.

Wow!
Here's a new star in the making!!!
Jack d'Or(JPN), 2018C. Maurice(JPN) x Ravarino(USA) by Unbridled's Song(USA), won the G2 Kinko Sho 2000m turf at Chukyo wire-to-wire in his group race debut, beating G1 winners and smashing the course record (by 1.1 second) on March 13th 2022.
He is now in a win streak of 5 races and likely to be headed next to the G1 Osaka Hai to take on the Japanese Horse of the Year Efforia(JPN)(Epiphaneia) in April.

Thanks! I've just looked into his pedigree a little bit.
G1 winners Musical Chimes(USA) and Music Note(USA) were from the same family, weren't they?
I remember both fillies were very popular in this forum.
And, once again, UBS proves himself to be an excellent broodmare sire in Japan, too.
And Jack d'Or is such a handsome boy,
Hopefully he will be a rare G1 winning chestnut nowadays wearing four white socks with a large white.

But Japanese horses seem to be competitive in all other races this year.
(Personally I would love to see Japan's first winner in the Dubai Golden Shaheen)
More importantly, they show horses can travel around the world!
