Horrible news: Royal Ascot winner Strike the Tiger, Modesto, and a 2yo died in a fire at Wesley Ward’s barn.

Tragic news. I hate barn fires.
So sad that he lost Strike the Tiger, who had become his reliable stable pony for the horses he sends to Ascot.
Damn, Ward has had an awful winter. First his trophies are stolen and now he loses StT, an Uncle Mo, and a Hootenanny baby.

It's absolutely terrible that any of them died but at least he did not lose Hootenanny himself in addition.

Awww....and only 16. Condolences to everyone who cared for and loved "Clyde."
I hope he has some good sons, although he seems to have had more success with his fillies. Sad that we lost Stormy Atlantic this year, and now one of his best sire sons.

Laughing Fox (Union Rags - Saskawea), who finished fifth in the 2019 Preakness and fourth in the Jim Dady. He last raced In November.
Maddie Jackson @OffTheFarTurn
Laughing Fox, stakes-winning earner of nearly $500,000, has been confirmed dead at Camarero. This is the reality of American horse racing - if stakes winners aren’t even ensured retirements, no horse is safe. Remember this face, because Fox deserved so, so much better.

obviously not every person at Camarero is bad, just like not every person in the USA is good, but this is beyond sick. i have a slight memory a rescue was trying to get to him.ThreeMustangs wrote: ↑Wed Mar 09, 2022 7:01 pm Laughing Fox (Union Rags - Saskawea), who finished fifth in the 2019 Preakness and fourth in the Jim Dady.
