Do you think he enjoys beer anyways? I know quite a few riding horses who enjoy it
Why walk when you could ride?

You don't have to be friends with anyone, but when you signed up for this forum you agreed to the rules. So treat other members with respect.

I also don't get why you're replying to a post that was 5 years ago, unless you are deliberately want to upset a poster.

Consider this a warning. (Yes I'm tired of chaperoning adults who should know better.)

there is, in the user's profile there's a Friend and Foe option - foe ignores. only ever used it on quietchris (who was anything but, lol).

also, tapit turning 21 is definitely a good reason to crack open a cold one :D

That’s very, very useful to know 😃

Tapit is making me feel old....I can’t get over how gorgeous he is. I miss his old man...and his grandsire, and his sire....

Moquest, Nyquist's unraced 3YO brother, has been retired and will stand at Milky Way Farm in California for a fee of $4,500 LFSN.
Moquest, bred by Hinkle Farms in Kentucky, sold as a yearling to M V Magnier for $650,000 at the 2020 Keeneland September Sale when consigned by Hinkle Farms. An early training injury prevented the colt from ever starting on the oval and he was acquired by E.A.S. Equine Alliance for $32,000 at last year's Keeneland November Breeding Stock Sale from the Hunter Valley consignment. Moquest will be supported in the breeding shed by his owners E.A.S. Equine Alliance, by breeding several mares to him. He crosses exceptionally well with mares by Unusual Heat  and Square Eddie.

Very Cool, a 3YO unraced son of American Pharoah, will enter stud at Caines Stallion Station in Oklahoma. he is o/o of Combanchera, a ½ sister to Sambuca Classica. his initial fee is set at $1,000 Live Foal.
"We are extremely excited to offer the only U.S. sire by a Triple Crown winner whose broodmare sire is a Triple Crown winner," said Jeff Jackson, a partner in the new stallion syndication. "To make this happen in Oklahoma is a dream come true. He will provide great value with a tremendous pedigree to all the breeders in this region of the country. He is impeccably bred … and a near carbon copy of his sire—extremely athletic with a powerful shoulder and hindquarters. It is his pedigree that makes him stand out, especially as a regional sire.

A couple weeks after being pensioned, Le Havre has died from “health issues”

More of a genuine concern than a morbid curiosity, but it is a bit strange that they won’t release exactly what his health issues were.

It seems that he had lung issues :

"Fatigué par un problème pulmonaire, l'étalon avait arrêté la monte la saison dernière pour être préservé, avant que son entourage n'annonce la fin définitive de sa carrière au haras début 2022"
Translation :
"Tired because of a lung problem, the stallion had stopped breeding last season to be preserved, before his connections announced the definitive end of his career at stud in early 2022".

The article says that a filly from Le Havre is born one hour after the passing of her sire at his breeder's farm. The article also shows a picture of her.

Christophe Lemaire, Le Havre's regular rider, expressed his regret in English on twitter.
My old friend Le Havre aka “le Magnifique” has passed away . He was the proud of so many people. You will be missed . Rip

That's very sad news and a huge loss.
R.I.P Le Havre.
And I wish one of his final fillies quoted in Equidia's article good luck.

So it looks like the third American Pharoah to stud in North America is also the third unraced.

American Pepper (o/o Pepper's Pride, by Desert God) will enter stud privately at Doubletree Farms in New Mexico. His dam Pepper's Pride of course was undefeated in 19 races - 12 stakes - in New Mexico.

I ran marathons. I saw the Taj Mahal by Moonlight. I drove Highway 1 in a convertible. I petted Zenyatta.

IMO, it's hard to tell a lot about his conformation from that photo, so I want to see a different portrait.
I was a fan of Pepper's Pride, so I'm kind of pleased to see a son of hers standing in New Mexico...and a son of AP isn't too shabby.

He isn’t stood up properly and could stand to lose a few pounds, but I’ve seen worse. He appears to have decent bone.
