Bulldog Boss is very handsome! There's a pic of him on PQ.

I loved Alphabet Soup so much, and when he won, I was so happy but then confused why all they were doing was talking about Cigar. Glad he had a good long, pampered life.Flanders wrote: ↑Fri Jan 28, 2022 9:53 pm I'll never forget him winning the Classic at Woodbine. I understand that Cigar was the big story. But it always bothered me that they didn't interview Georgia Ridder after he won (on the Breeders Cup coverage on NBC) and instead interviewed everyone involved with Cigar. He was a beauty and I'm happy he got to live to 31.

Seeing him get pensioned makes me feel old! Also I hope the Paulick Report changes his age in the article. He’s 20 not 16Northport wrote: ↑Mon Jan 31, 2022 1:33 pm Afleet Alex pensioned

20 makes more sense. I was like 16 is awful young to be pensioned. Was it fertility issues? Lack of interest from breeders?Summer Bird wrote: ↑Mon Jan 31, 2022 1:37 pmSeeing him get pensioned makes me feel old! Also I hope the Paulick Report changes his age in the article. Aww, I just rewatched his Preakness and Belmont because they randomly popped into my youtube home page. He has such a big heart, too bad he wasn't more successful at stud.Northport wrote: ↑Mon Jan 31, 2022 1:33 pm Afleet Alex pensioned. Will remain at Gainesway the rest of his life.

I loved Afleet Alex for his heart (and on a personal level, being a cancer survivor, for how his connections helped to publicize and supported Alex's Lemonade Stand). I hope he enjoys a very long and happy retirement.starrydreamer wrote: ↑Mon Jan 31, 2022 4:46 pmAww, I just rewatched his Preakness and Belmont because they randomly popped into my youtube home page. Yeah he is. It just happened 2 months ago though and was never announced. Gemologist's sale was announced but nothing about Nitrous. Nitrous was just registered for stud duty in South Korea 2 weeks ago.

I really liked Nitrous and was just looking at him the other day. I was hoping he might end up at a Western stud farm.

He was only 10 and had made a good start to his stud career. He was from the wonderful No Class family.

Been on the fence about buying into a Speighster baby and I'm tempted to do that nowThreeMustangs wrote: ↑Mon Feb 07, 2022 11:59 am He was only 10 and had made a good start to his stud career. He was from the wonderful No Class family.
