His sire, Limnos (Hector Protector) is a G2 winner in France who was bred in Japan. He was a sire of crossbreeds and Selle Francais as well as thoroughbreds.

I would like to pour another virtual one out for Chublicious, who was a pretty cool horse. He was HOTY in New Jersey and even raced in South Korea, running in their version of the Breeders' Cup. One of the first few US-based horses to do so. He finished fourth in their Sprint. He even survived the Navarro training regimen. Anything can happen at any moment but this was preventable.

Coincidentally, another of the first to run in Korea, The Truth or Else, died of a heart attack while racing. He was one of my favorites.

Interesting decision on the part of NYRA. As I look back at the scores of 10 year olds that have raced at Saratoga, Belmont and Aqueduct over the last several years, it is abundantly clear that most were running at these high end tracks because they were healthy, sound and still highly competetive - not the same horses that are running at Finger Lakes and lower tier tracks. My guess is that NYRA is protecting itself from blame in the case that something should happen to an older horse in this day and age when every animal rights person will point their fingers and hang them out to dry in the public square of opinion, and that is OK if a horse has diminished abilities, soundness that is suspect, and can no longer compete. I think you will see similar age restrictions in place at more and more tracks across the land in coming years. Locking them out could come with a price, namely dropping them to the bottom of the barrel tracks where safety is not exactly paramount...

Coopers Creacent , from above, is owned by Jamen Davidovich.
He’s one of the trainers that testified this last week that he had used PEDS that he obtained from Seth Fishman. There are articles in both HRN and paulick report stating that the Ohio Racing Commision may revoke his license to train for good. I hope they also revoke his owners license. And that more tracks follow.
