He has Medaglia Lemons that he can still use.
But that might be one of the last name combos, I don't know what he is going to do.

We often talk about how the best mares often end up with the worst names for their foals (like Beholder or Zenyatta), but poor Unbridled Forever is basically guaranteed to have cringe names, well, forever.
Paradise Perfect is OK though.

I'm guessing he'll end up with that name. Lemons Forever doesn't have a yearling and she's in foal to Speightstown this year, so maybe that's the last of the line with that combo. I'm imagining something like Speighty Lemons for that offspringFlanders wrote: ↑Fri Jan 07, 2022 7:26 pmHe has Medaglia Lemons that he can still use.

And Unbridled Forever sadly died, so there's just her 2021 MDO colt left to name. Forever Unbridled went to Seeking the Soul for 2022. She doesn't have a yearling, either. We'll see who she visits this year. Hopefully they can at least get her to some different stallions for new name combos.

If he wanted to be creative with the Forever Unbridled/Seeking the Soul foal, he'd name it Afterlife..........but no doubt it will be Seeking Unbridledmariasmon wrote: ↑Fri Jan 07, 2022 8:34 pmI'm guessing he'll end up with that name. Nope, he definitely doesn't want to be creative with naming his horses. Afterlife is way too good for himSlewfan2 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 07, 2022 8:46 pmIf he wanted to be creative with the Forever Unbridled/Seeking the Soul foal, he'd name it Afterlife..........but no doubt it will be Seeking Unbridledmariasmon wrote: ↑Fri Jan 07, 2022 8:34 pmI'm guessing he'll end up with that name. Dallas Stewart was quoted as saying something like this. He thinks the reason Fipke names his horses the way he does is so he can keep them and their pedigrees straight, as he has such a large number. Otherwise, I would say you should reach out and suggest Afterlife. Like, if I thought he was just too lazy to come up with anything good, he might take a good suggestion. If Dallas is right, I guess he has his reasons.

Yeah if you search for how Fipke names his horses, the first thing that comes up is an article from 2013 that says:
Golden Soul: Owner Charles Fipke said he always uses the sire and mare names as the basis for the names of his horses so that he can remember their pedigrees.
Java's War: Following Fipke's pattern after naming from pedigree, Java's War gets his name through his sire War Pass and mare Java.
We know what comes next once the names run out for the combination of sire and dam. Its abominations like Speight'spercomete.

It can’t hurt - is he on Twitter ? I came close to winning a name that yearling contest - Lane’s End sponsored one recently where the yearling was by Honor Code out of a mare named Nikki Knows. I suggested Whistleblower, but they ended up choosing StayHonorGoodSide.... But, Bill Farish said he liked my name best, so that was nice to hear - and I got a cool hat out of it. Maybe LE will use it one day, lol.mariasmon wrote: ↑Fri Jan 07, 2022 11:06 pm

Someone jump in here if I'm wrong, but I only know of a stable account for Fipke: @PerfectSoulIRESlewfan2 wrote: ↑Sat Jan 08, 2022 12:30 amIt can’t hurt - is he on Twitter ? Good grief, Whistleblower is waaaay better than the name that was chosen. Who made the final decision?

It was a panel of Thoroughbred Daily News reporters - the only name I remember is Bill Finley.
LOL thanks again! I’m not a huge fan of the winner’s name because I think it’s too cutesy - but I was more bothered by the fact that the winner had sent in dozens of entries. I’m surprised no one has used the name for an Honor Code before, but at some point I imagine they will - I can’t be the only one who’s thought of that name !
