Granted it's his first race so he could always improve but maybe just doesn't want to race?

Nice effort from Nicest (American Pharoah) in the American Oaks just now.

It was nice to see she could run on the dirt too since her and the winner, Queen Goddess, had never ran on the dirt before. I've often wondered about US sired horses who are sent to Europe to race and who are just okay on the turf, since Nicest was G1p in the Irish Oaks, if they could perform on the dirt as well.MeaghanEdwards wrote: ↑Sun Dec 26, 2021 8:39 pm Nice effort from Nicest (American Pharoah) in the American Oaks just now.

I'm afraid QB One might need to make the acquaintance of Cozmic One. I was there and was rooting for him, but not a lot of positives to take away there. Doesn't Beholder have another foal--with an arguably bad name?
I ran marathons. I saw the Taj Mahal by Moonlight. I drove Highway 1 in a convertible. I petted Zenyatta.

If I'm not wrong, this is the first time Congaree(USA), as broodmare sire, is represented by his G1 winner worldwide.Starine wrote: ↑Tue Dec 28, 2021 10:06 pm Killer Ability Romps in Hopeful Stakes in Japan

I agree Tachyon! Congaree was a wonderful racehorse! The McNairs just knew and accepted that he wasn't going to be a commercial stallion, so they kept him in training for a few years, and he was so much fun to watch! Those 2 Cigar Miles were a PIP!! And hs losing effort in the Derby is still talked about after 20 years! I loved him!tachyon wrote: ↑Thu Dec 30, 2021 7:31 amIf I'm not wrong, this is the first time Congaree(USA), as broodmare sire, is represented by his G1 winner worldwide.Starine wrote: ↑Tue Dec 28, 2021 10:06 pm Killer Ability Romps in Hopeful Stakes in Japan

Yes.
Don't Tell Sophia(USA) has had four live foals since 2016 without any winner yet.
She was uncovered in 2021.
Her 2017 Deep Impact filly Ternura(JPN) was bred to Leontes(JPN).

I'm so happy to hear someone talk about Congaree now.
I'm not an American. But I was in the states those days and I fell in love with Congaree.
I saw most of his outings in New York in person.
And I still remember vividly his G1 victories over there together with Tom Durkin's calls.
I was /am not an English-native at all once again. But I loved Tom Durkin's way / intonation to call his victories.
Plus, whenever the Bob Baffert trainee won the G1s in New York, the Cigar Mile (two-time) and the Carter, he defeated Bob Frankel trainees (Aldebaran and Midas Eyes) decisively, haha!!
The Big Cap and the BC Classic were heartbreaking. But I thought he was great even in those defeats.
He's one of the most talented horses I have ever seen in my whole life.
It was sad he passed away too early.
