He's a cool horse from a great family. Hopefully breeders there will embrace him. It's tough for a turf horse like him to get any traction at stud.Flanders wrote: ↑Mon Dec 20, 2021 4:43 pm Boisterous is moving to Alberta:

Yeah, I always think of it as Cynthia Phipps' main line, cause its the line that Versailles Treaty came from. They don't breed many mares in Alberta but hopefully he finds his niche, he has moved around quite a bit. I guess if he gets 15 mares in Alberta not much different than getting 20 in Pennsylvania.mariasmon wrote: ↑Mon Dec 20, 2021 4:47 pmHe's a cool horse from a great family. Tiger Moth (Galileo x Lesson in Humility, by Mujadil) will stand in Turkey for 2022. He is a G3W and runner-up in the G1 Melbourne Cup. Hope he is successful over there, I like his name.

The owners of one of the former farms lentenor stood at are pretty enraged that Calumet entered him in the January sale because they've told Calumet all along that if lentenor ever needed a retirement home they'd take him. They are going to try and contact Calumet to keep lentenor from going to the sale

There is something off about Calumet sending him to sale. It didn’t fit considering who bred him and owned him.TapitsGal wrote: ↑Mon Dec 20, 2021 11:59 pm The owners of one of the former farms lentenor stood at are pretty enraged that Calumet entered him in the January sale because they've told Calumet all along that if lentenor ever needed a retirement home they'd take him. Its the 2nd year in a row they tried to sell him, just last year people got pissed off when him and a handful of other Calumet stallions were entered in the Keeneland Digital Sale so they were withdrawn.Ziggypop wrote: ↑Tue Dec 21, 2021 9:25 amThere is something off about Calumet sending him to sale. The person I'm talking to said they'd keep me updated. This particular farm tried to buy lentenor outright from Calumet in 2019 and was turned down. Calumet basically said they wanted him in Kentucky. I was also told that if this farm can't get him they are working on setting something up so that lentenor never has to worry about anything bad happening to him. I'd made a post in a horse racing group on Facebook venting about Lentenor being sold and that's what alerted the owners of the former breeding farm he stood at to step up and try to help himFlanders wrote: ↑Tue Dec 21, 2021 11:49 amIts the 2nd year in a row they tried to sell him, just last year people got pissed off when him and a handful of other Calumet stallions were entered in the Keeneland Digital Sale so they were withdrawn.Ziggypop wrote: ↑Tue Dec 21, 2021 9:25 amThere is something off about Calumet sending him to sale. I wonder what is a full book at Darley. 150-175 mares? I know it isnt Spendthrift or Coolmore size (aka the limit does not exist).
Seeing the fees that Maxfield, Essential Quality, Charlatan, etc are commanding (and I guess selling out at) makes it seem like we’re back in the early- mid 2000s

I looked at the last couple years looks like in that range, low 160s seemed to be the highest.Northport wrote: ↑Wed Dec 22, 2021 12:26 amI wonder what is a full book at Darley. 150-175 mares? I know it isnt Spendthrift or Coolmore size (aka the limit does not exist).

I liked Dansili.
The first foal out of the great mare Hasili became an influential stallion.
And he was an excellent racer on the turf, too, even if he didn't get any G1 title.
His fastest closing as he finished 3rd to War Chant in the BC Mile remains unforgettable to me.

Korea has a number of Tiznow sons; they seem to really like the bloodline.
ETA: They bought Tiz Wonderful, Colonel John (and that one hurt - really liked him), Tizway (although he has been sold on to Turkey - hope that is a little safer).

Was Risque Remarque one that they entered into the sale? I had wanted to purchase him previously before he went to Calumet, but not for breeding racehorses.Flanders wrote: ↑Tue Dec 21, 2021 11:49 amIts the 2nd year in a row they tried to sell him, just last year people got pissed off when him and a handful of other Calumet stallions were entered in the Keeneland Digital Sale so they were withdrawn.Ziggypop wrote: ↑Tue Dec 21, 2021 9:25 amThere is something off about Calumet sending him to sale. mildly surprised he wasn't offered to Old Friends, tho i know they don't have infinite room. i agree - just hope he ends up safe.
