I can't imagine how disappointed his/her owners are, if such a nicely-bred (and probably expensive) baby has already been sent off to a none-racing future.

Not if you saw his legs. Poor baby. https://www.newvocations.org/horse_detail/613BaroqueAgain1 wrote: ↑Thu Dec 16, 2021 10:43 pm I can't imagine how disappointed his/her owners are, if such a nicely-bred (and probably expensive) baby has already been sent off to a none-racing future.

It's too bad, because he looked nice as I scrolled down the photo...until I got to his legs.

I found a baby pic and nothing seems to be wrong with '19 Missile Bay then. An injury perhaps?
It's a shame because look at this sweet face

Casual (Curlin x Lady Tak) won one of the big stakes races at Remington tonight, and was dominating.

Terribly over in the left front (especially for this age), slightly in the right. But his right front is crooked as well from the ankle down, which likely explains why he's unsound in that one.BaroqueAgain1 wrote: ↑Fri Dec 17, 2021 12:00 am ohhhowww...

Is he so compromised that he would not be good candidate for vigorous work? And if not OK as a saddle horse, perhaps he could do cart/carriage work?

New Vocations lists him as suitable for trail riding at most. Poor thing looks like his legs were put in a blender...BaroqueAgain1 wrote: ↑Sat Dec 18, 2021 10:38 pm Is he so compromised that he would not be good candidate for vigorous work? Mozu Gold Barrel is really pretty.
Just now, Marr Time finished last in her second race at Oaklawn. Race caller said she was "fractious" in the gate.
The winner? Como Square, the half sister of Caddo River, who makes his return race at Oaklawn too.

Galt (MdO x Ivanavinalot), the full bro to Songbird, just won the 6th at Gulfstream, a 1 1/16-mile MSW on the dirt for 2yos. After being trapped behind horses, he made a nice move to swing wide coming into the stretch and sweep past the field for the victory. Nice colt.
