we don't want to ask too much of him. He debuted in February and won the Breeders' Cup Sprint in November. We don't want to compromise what we anticipate being a huge season in 2022 by traveling and running again in such close proximity. We have no plans at this time other than to hopefully work our way backwards from next year's Breeders' Cup," Wellman said

Nice run! He had to do some maneuvering, too. Looked like he checked a bit before dropping back to last just before the final turn, and then moved over to the rail and made up a lot of ground. Brave of him to squeeze through at the rail like that. Not all horses are comfortable with a move like that. Good experience for him.

I thought he ran well. Was still closing at the wire. Didn't give up. Best finish in a stakes in almost 2 years. I am glad he's back with Jerkens.

Not surprised. I didn't think his breeze time sounded very good. Full 2 seconds slower to what he was doing prior to the BC.
