Sinister Minister(USA)(Old Trieste) sired his first G1 winner, as his 4yo colt T O Keynes(JPN)[o/o Maxim Cafe(JPN) by Manhattan Cafe(JPN)] won the Champions Cup 1800m dirt at Chukyo on Dec 5th 2021.

Sinister Minister, purchased by a group of small breeders in Hidaka District for US$1.5 million in 2007, has been standing at Arrow Stud.
He only covered around 50 - 60 mares in his first five years.
But, proving his consistency, he became a popular dirt stallion covering 100+ mares regularly every year.
And he is already fully booked for the 2022 season!! 8-)
He is such a handsome guy, too! :D

Thanks for the update. Sinister Minister has always been a grand-looking animal and I still remember his sharp Bluegrass Stakes win years ago.

Oh I remember that too! That was the last Bluegrass Stakes run on the old "rail-bias" real dirt track at Keeneland in 2006. He won by some ridiculous number of lengths and earned an equally ridiculous BSF. The next 8 runnings were the synthetic years where the winners became so marginalized that the race lost its GI status. I kind of expect that to be restored pretty soon now, with the return to natural dirt.

I just posted in the In Memoriam, but Coolmore Australia announced the death of Choisir about an hour ago.

I do remember his Bluegrass, too.
Both his sire Old Trieste and himself were ''super explosive'' when they brought their A-game, weren't they?
I know that Old Trieste was very popular among some of the A.P. Indy fans in Japan.
But it seemed like both lacked in the consistency.
Who could imagine that Old Trieste would become one of the key branches for the A.P. Indy sire-line via Sinister Minister?
Sinister Minister's AEI/CI is quite respectable, too. 8-)

Its really impressive because he died after only siring 3 crops and 198 foals. I knew he was in Kentucky but I forgot he stood at Jonabell/Darley.

Notables changes:
Wooton Bassett up to €150,000 from €100,000
Camelot up to €75,000 from €60,000 (so glad he’s been a suitable successor to Montjeu)

When he was good, OT was fantastic...I was crushed that he died so young. What a gorgeous horse he was..I’m so glad SM is doing well.

Code of Honor has arrived at lanes end and looks absolutely stunning. They posted a pic of code of Honor posing in front of his Travers canoe..code of Honor stands for 10k which is really reasonable in my opinion

Big Red Farm stallion Agnes Digital(USA)(Crafty Prospector) has been retired from stud duty.
He will be pensioned at Tokachi Thoroughbred Association.

and I've come across this video clip 8-)

That’s a nice video, thank you! Agnes Digital is very refined-looking for a Crafty Prospector, who was known for his coarse appearance.
Agnes Digital(USA) died today following a paddock accident at Tokachi.

He’s very racy looking right now, got some filling out to do. But, he does look good. They seem quite proud of him.

Its real hard to read this article without laughing but what I got from their constant spinning to make him sound like he is a must breed to, he is too fast to not go to stud right now. His beyer speed numbers were just too high to not send him to the breeding shed immediately. In reality, I assume he got injured.

I mean, it says he was injured, but that was so vague....it could have easily been a minor injury that didn’t necessitate missing many months. I don’t know why the rush to retire him unless it was a serious injury, and if it was, that would mean he wasn’t sound. I expect he’ll be extremely popular...

I can’t wait to read what this poster on Steve Byk’s board has to say, though. Everytime a horse like this retires, he spoofs the overheated PR for the newly retired colt, and it’s hilarious - his one on Uncle Chuck is 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
