Rock Hard Ten was such a beautiful horse. He only covered 10 mares in 2021 ... I really hope he died of natural causes.

Paulick report finally has an article up. They found him unable to stand in his paddock and said he died at the clinic 24 hours laterTwilightTear wrote: ↑Wed Nov 17, 2021 7:12 pmRock Hard Ten was such a beautiful horse. He only covered 10 mares in 2021 ... I really hope he died of natural causes.

Thanks for posting. I am sorry he is gone, but I am glad they got him medical care and he did not meet his end like so many horses do in Korea. I'd only seen the article on Bloodhorse which just announced he died with no additional information.TapitsGal wrote: ↑Wed Nov 17, 2021 7:54 pmPaulick report finally has an article up. Rest easy, Rock Hard Ten. You were a gorgeous horse.

The picture of the regal boy on Bloodhorse, is a far cry what he looked like on the Korean Stud Book page. When I read 10 mares in 2021 it broke my heart again.TwilightTear wrote: ↑Wed Nov 17, 2021 7:12 pmRock Hard Ten was such a beautiful horse. He only covered 10 mares in 2021 ... I didn't mean to be "that poster." Someone (Mylute, I think) posted a few days ago that RHT was listed as deceased on the KRA's website, and I kept watching racing websites for an announcement but there was ... nothing. Then I finally saw the article on Bloodhorse, and it had no cause of death and reported the ten mares bred and I thought the worst. I'm really glad I was wrong.sweettalk wrote: ↑Wed Nov 17, 2021 8:44 pmhate to be "that poster" so i was waiting to hear what his cause of death was before i said anything. i feel better knowing he passed surrounded by ppl trying to help him, but still really sad he's gone.TapitsGal wrote: ↑Wed Nov 17, 2021 7:54 pmPaulick report finally has an article up. I just remember the controversy over his name. Too bad that American COMMERCIAL breeders just don't want anything related to turf stamina. Is the Roberto line hanging on?
I ran marathons. I saw the Taj Mahal by Moonlight. I drove Highway 1 in a convertible. I petted Zenyatta.

Not by a whole bunch but its out there. There are 3 Arch sons in Kentucky in Blame, Preservationist, and Instilled Regard. Dynaformer has Temple City in Kentucky and Point of Entry, who was sent to Canada.
Japan is probably better off, they have the exciting young stallion Epiphaneia(Symboli Kris S/Kris S), who has sired some really nice horses, including Daring Tact and Efforia. I really hope Maurice(Screen Hero/Grass Wonder/Silver Hawk) succeeds as he is probably the only hope for the Silver Hawk branch, his sire is also at stud in Japan.
I would imagine there are others out there. Like California has the Dynaformer stallion Mr. Big and Saudi Arabia has Dynever.

The PR and BH articles were up within like 2 days of my post. This has happened several times.

We know that Thinair (Andy S.) is active here, and I suspect that he would have wanted to find the truth about what was going on with RHT.

That and other active bloodstock agents. Some years ago, when Curlin really started to show his sire power I asked why Deputy Striker, his full brother running in claimers, was not a regional sire candidate somewhere. I didn't really get an answer, but in Deputy Striker's next start he was claimed and not long after he was exported.
