Kind of crazy she went for less than Shedaresthedevil.

$4,700,000
I guess I am curious why. They were pretty close in price. Very similar records. Both have solid, but not stellar female families. Devil is a better looking horse IMO and she will race again.

I was amused by Taylor Made touting Princess Noor as the star of the sale. I think they went overboard, before and after:

“The whole thing came full circle because we sold her as a yearling for Oussama Aboughazale for $135,000, and then she comes back, she wins a grade 1, and we get to sell her tonight," said Mark Taylor, vice president of sales and marketing at Taylor Made. "It's a great result for Mr. Zedan. Northern Farm got a great mare. There's really no mare in the last couple years that I have more respect for with her sheer brilliance on the track. It's a win-win for everybody."

Really? No mare? I can think of a few…

I think that marketers just use “brilliance” or “sheer brilliance” to describe fragile fast horses who couldn’t hold it together for more than 8 starts. You’re either brilliant or tough. No middle ground.

“Yes, he did have quarter cracks that were held together with paperclips and scotch tape… but god wasnt he brilliant?!”

I didn't say anything about it but Taylor Made was running ads for Princess Noor that I saw on BH that described Princess Noor as "a Cinderella story."

Ok so a million dollar baby owned by a multimillionaire trained by a super giga trainer who won a single Grade 1 before getting injured is a Cinderella story?

What are they drinking?

No one likes a good Cinderella story like a ultra rich Saudi Arabian businessman.
