Albahr and Master of the Seas are incredibly closely related. Pretty crazy that this happened again.

Is it a coincidence that two Godolphin runners have acted badly in the gate?

There is some sort of animal communicator in the UK who does work with horses who have gate issues... methinks he might be paying a visit to Moulton paddocks this winter.

Exogenous banged her head before the Distaff in 2001, she was scratched and died a week later from complications from wacking her head. That's all I'm thinking about right now.

by very closely related I mean both are by Dubawi and Firth of Lorne (dam of Master of the Seas) is also the dam of Falls of Lora (dam of Albahr).

Both were known as pretty flighty horses and Euros can tend to have issues with American gates, but the #1 stall might have been the more relevant commonality there. It's a long time for a horse to stand. Incredible that it happened again!

Oh boy Mo Forza got brutalized like ten steps out of the gate there.

Okay so: Appleby has two horses in the Turf. Which one gets gate-scratched, and which one wins?

She flipped in the paddock though, didn't she?

These talking heads kill me. If I hear one more "in these times".. ugh. Safety should be first in all times. Not just because the camera is on you.

Exogenous flipped coming out onto the track and got her legs caught in a railing for an extended period of time. It was awful.

Hopefully Master of the Seas is okay- I suspect hooking his leg over the gate was considered an even greater concern than hitting his head, but he did look fine jogging off.

I can only imagine what Appleby was thinking when Master of the Seas did that. Talk about a bad deja vu.

He has Walton Street (gate 7) and Yibir (gate 10). I would lean toward Yibir being more likely to have issues, not just because he, too, is by Dubawi, but Walton Street has already raced on this continent. He will be more familiar with NA procedures like ponies and gate crew. And he's a gelding.

Yibir won the Jockey Club Derby at Belmont in his last start.

3/2 is such a bad price on Letruska but I SO want her to win. She's amazing.

Oh god I hope that was Dunbar Road, but I don't think it was. She might also come down if it's her, because she walloped Malathaat in the stretch.

Would love to know what the instructions were to Private Mission there.
