I think Hidden Connection stumbled out of the gate and lost all chance, but how do these jockeys keep letting these big favorites get away like that? She went in 47!

After all the discussion about the jockey change on Echo Zulu, the filly won SO easily that I think Larry Jones could have ridden that gal to victory.
IMHO, the other five riders weren't "letting" her get an easy lead; you could see jockeys already scrubbing on their fillies down the backstretch, trying to keep up with her.

Surprising Juju never went with her as she was being restrained early but she broke a bit slowly, raced wide- but no one was going to catch Echo Zulu today. HC a bit worked up before the race- kept throwing her head up and biting the pony repeatedly. May just have lost a bit of focus possibly leading to the stumble.

Yeah, Echo Zulu earned it by breaking best but everyone else seemed to just accept defeat after that. But clearly a worthy winner, and a very nice filly.

Did anyone else catch Randy Moss refer to Gun Runner as "the great horse Steve Asmussen sired?" I'm losing it...

Wow...didn't realize he was that old. Even one of the TVG analysts mentioned him as "the young California sire" after his two fillies ran 1-2..
Yeah I think cause he had so few foals that no one realizes how old he actually is. He didn't go to stud until he was 7(in 2010) and actually started at stud in Kentucky, I'm not sure when he moved to California maybe 2015? But I guess cause he hasn't really been in California that long maybe that is another reason everyone thinks he is young.

Randy Moss’ microphone is covering the whole side of his face.

Haughty at 5-1, what a nightmare...

That clip was not of Sail By. I have great sympathy for broadcasters and we're very lucky to have the national attention and coverage that we do, but boy there have been some rough patches today.

I listened to the livestream of the Juvenile Fillies while driving home and when Collmus said "and there goes Echo Zulu right to the front" I said "they won't catch her" out loud to myself.

came to see how averly jane did, her hype train seems to have been derailed and left on the side of the tracks since she didn't win. bloodhorse had my back, she was fifth it looks like. hopefully this was just an odd clunker.

Bobbly Flay, gross. Happy for Clement, though!

Now it's time for the Juvenile to get *disappointing*

I watched California Angel on the far turn. She went to close but then immediately got blocked by two others.

Spectacular ride by Jose finding every hole through the stretch. So happy for Christophe and Bobby.

LMAO at pizza time.

My Hello You had a perfect trip and dead aim on them turning for home, just wasn't good enough. Give some credit to Malavath for running huge from post 12. And score one for the ML maker, I suppose- he had Pizza Bianca the favorite, but she drifted way up from it.

She took a hard hit from the 2 on the first turn and had to check at another point (Kent strikes again). Looking forward to seeing her run again.

But that ride on the winner................. and Clemente to boot. :D

Steve is a prolific trainer…not THAT prolific!

I’m sorry Santana was removed and didn’t get the chance to savor victory on a filly he’d been so successful on before..

NGL it'd be cool if Jasper Great won for Japan. He has a nice female family too.

Can Commandperformance pull a Good Magic? TUNE IN AFTER THE BREAK.

I am rooting for him too because of Arrogate. He sure looks tiny though.
