It's becoming more and more evident that inbreeding to Sunday Silence has a good effect. :D

Silent Runner by Silent Name put in a gutsy performance in today's Ontario S at Woodbine, after being checked hard in the stretch, he recovered to place a strong second.

It's a very sad day. :(
Agnes Gold(JPN), the champion sire in Brazil, died after suffering a bone fracture at the age of 23.

https://www.turfdiario.com/a-los-23-ano ... gnes-gold/

He was one of the best sons of Sunday Silence, who went from being ''thrown'' to becoming a sensational, unique stallion.
As a racehorse, he was a multiple graded winner in Japan, undefeated in his first four career starts, but was not really fulfilled due to consecutive injuries and retired to stud at 5 with his lifetime record of 7-4-1-0.
In between 2004 and 2006, he stood at Lex Stud in Japan with no success.
He moved to the United States to stand at Lambholm South in Florida in between 2007 and 2009 with no success either.
Then he was sent to Brazil where he finally found breeders and broodmares who appreciated him.
His achievement over there was almost miraculous.

May he rest in peace.

A son of Agnes Gold just won the G1 Keeneland Turf Stakes... but it wasn't Ivar. It was the other Agnes Gold in the race: In Love. And he's now in the BC Mile.
