Agree, I think my comment was in bad taste. Maybe she'll be the one to pass on Z's genes. Although I always thought Bernardini was not a good choice--Tapit didn't do any better. But at least Ziconic LOOKED like a fast horse!
I ran marathons. I saw the Taj Mahal by Moonlight. I drove Highway 1 in a convertible. I petted Zenyatta.

I don't know that I would call her very promising just yet, but it's definitely a pretty pedigree! I didn't realize that Often is half to GC, and Galileo certainly doesn't hurt either.

I adore HC, but I consider myself to be objective when it comes to evaluating his offspring. The fractions were very slow, and she finished extremely well - 23 and change, last furlong in 5.77. I didn’t proclaim her a star, and I’m sure the field wasn’t anything to write home about, but I do think she’s very promising...and clearly she has the pedigree to be even better with maturity.

Here's the chart; the fractional times are at the bottom. DS was 4 lengths back (in 3rd) at last call before the finish. EQU number is only 66, but when 6F are run in 1:15 and change, there's not much DS could have done.

She ran the final 16th in around 6s.A bit more believable.Slewfan2 wrote: ↑Thu Oct 07, 2021 7:44 pmHere's the chart; the fractional times are at the bottom. And of course related to Rags to Riches (I guess her Tapit colt will never run; I hope she has better luck with her Uncle Mo and AP foals).
This filly did look good...and, oddly, she took no money considering her pedigree and connections

They never bothered naming her 2017 or 2018 foals and her 2019 foal hasn't been named either. None have death reports which doesn't mean anything since its Coolmore.

Oh, I don’t want to go there…. I wish they hadn’t wasted her prime years breeding this brilliantly-bred dirt filly to a turf sire (Galileo)…Flanders wrote: ↑Fri Oct 08, 2021 4:43 pmThey never bothered naming her 2017 or 2018 foals and her 2019 foal hasn't been named either.
