Did Going To Vegas's win in the Rodeo Drive give Goldencents his first GI winner?

And that question starts me wondering if there are any other sons of Into Mischief that have made any noise yet to speak of? Or is it still too early?

Just curious.🙂

Yes, she was his first G1SW. By My Standards finished 2nd in a G1 but he won a bunch of G2s.

Practical Joke, first foals 2yos, is the only other Into Mischief with foals of racing age and is 2nd on the Freshman Sire list.

Shoot! I forgot all about Practical Joke! That's embarrassing too, because I'm a big fan of his!! 😡

Thanks Flanders!

I tried to search here before posting this, if any of it had been posted before sorry.

These are all stallions who have 3 crops to race

Bloodhorse has Bayern as MOVED on the 3rd crop sire list, which isn't a surprise at all. He isn't on Hill N Dale's page anymore. Did I miss an announcement or was he sold quietly? He doesn't have an export on file with the Jockey Club at this point.

Micromanage, who interestingly I think stood at the same place as Giant Surprise, was also pensioned. He covered mares in 2021.

Zivo who stood in New York was also pensioned at some point, he hasn't covered mares since 2019.

(Nothing against the horse obvs) but it's about time for Bayern. He has thrown a handful of some nice stakes horses though so maybe he'll fare better in a regional market.

17yo Duke of Marmalade (Danehill - Love Me True, by Kingmambo) has been pensioned at Drakenstein Stud in South Africa, where he will live out the rest of his days. He sired 46 SWs, including 7 G1Ws. Lovely photo from the farm:

Only 17 years old and already a month into the covering season there… i wonder if he had a big drop off in fertility or some physical issues.

He was such an awesome race horse, it’s nice to see he has a forever home.

2016 Florida HOTY Three Rules (Gone Astray) was been retired to stand in Florida.

Very happy because I loved Three Rules so long ago and have always been checking up on him. Gone Astray has been a nice sire for Florida so I think it's nice he has a son to carry on his line.

Meanwhile, No Never No More has moved to Pleasant Acres in Florida.

Mr Speaker moving to Texas

Can’t say I’m surprised.
Can’t remember the last Phipps stallion who actually succeeded since Seeking the Gold. Don’t have high hopes for Performer @ Claiborne either.

Damn. I hope he has at least 1 good intact son from his few crops or at least has some nice grandkids.

It certainly didn't help him that he wasn't able to stand his 2nd season at stud in the US. He couldn't pass quarantine after shuttling to Chile and had to stay there for a year. So yes he is a 3rd crop sire but he doesn't have current 3yos in the US.

Another new stallion at Pleasant Acres is Bellavia. He was a fast, promising two year old and is really well-bred (as well as gorgeous), but as someone who has followed his entire career - through to his return to racing after about a year and a half away.............He's just so unsound. Given that Honor Code is currently not a marketable sire, and I have no idea how HAP is being received, I'm not sure how this colt will be received in Florida. I expected after his return that he was going to be retired, but I thought he'd be gelded....

Yeah I don't get Bellavia either.

I would imagine a large part of him going to stud is that his half sister produced Mitole and Hot Rod Charlie.

I was so saddened and shocked to read this terrible news: I had no idea he was fighting this hideous disease which they can't seem to
find a way to control it ( i know there is no cure)- I was so happy when he survived his initial bout with Laminitis.

I didn’t even realize that until tonight. He’s be a favorite of mine, so I hope he does well; I won’t be surprised if does.
