Harpoon, a son of Tapit, is a half-brother to grade I Cuvee and grade II winner Will He Shine.

Sweet Bliss (Street Cry x Sweet Way) had a nice maiden win at SA today, as well. Her 2nd dam is Sweet Life, making her a 3/4 sister to G1W Life is Sweet and champion Sweet Catomine.

That's actually the 2010 unnamed model at Fair Hill.
I'm even more confused now. Harley Rose AND her nameless older sister are at Fair Hill.

The only thing that makes me feel reasonably sure the one in the photo is Unnamed is that she is the one who's supposedly owned by Gilgai Farm. They did purchase Harley Rose as a foal and sold her as a weanling at KeeNov, where Adena Springs bought her.

Didn't feel like looking through 51 pages or so. Anything new or recent on Crown Queen?

He was a fast-closing 2nd (by a nose).

Grand Elmendorf (A.P. Indy x Gourmet Girl) had a pretty nice looking maiden win at Tampa just now.

Ireland, full to Dublin, ran 3rd in the Martha Washington. Had to run very wide, and like her brother, may not be a flexible horse -- but does have talent.

A head shot I have of the '10 filly. I'm pretty certain that's her. The star looks right. She's a little lighter than I remember, but it was still winter last time I saw her she so she probably shedded out lighter.

It looks like Assman's tightening the screws on Samantha Nicole. She had the bullet 5F today at FG. Bet she has a gate work next week. It's doubtful she'll accomplish what Rachel did, but it'd be nice if she was at least a stakes-caliber filly.

Hmm. When they bred Indian Blessing to Zensational, they were probably hoping for a rocket sled. Looks like they just got a sled. ;)

Gold Hawk* is staying at Fair Grounds to contest the Feb. 22 Risen Star, and [trainer Steve] Asmussen remains hopeful Gold Hawk will bounce back from a one-paced third-place finish more than seven lengths behind victorious Vicar’s In Trouble in the Jan. 18 Lecomte Stakes. Gold Hawk’s five-furlong drill Monday was the fastest work he has posted at Fair Grounds, where Gold Hawk won a Dec. 27 first-level, two-turn allowance race less than four weeks after a debut win at Churchill Downs.

“I like how he bounced out of [the Lecomte],” Asmussen said. “That was his third race in six weeks. He’s young-minded, and he took a little step back, but I expect him to be right back in the program.”
