This is the first foal out of a mare that’s stakes placed and a half sister to Authenticity (dam of Charlatan). He’s got no issues from what I’ve heard so he should light up the board
You were right! Plain bay but gorgeous looking colt.

291 is pretty rambunctious. Filly is kicking and rearing. Justify over a Galileo mare, something I've seen before here. Think Coolmore is trying to work that Scat Daddy/Galileo cross, which has been pretty successful. $445,000.

293, Curlin x Cajun Delta Dawn, handsome bay colt, bids are rising. $975,000.

I love the nearly all-black 296, although he is officially grey or roan. Quality Road x Cara Marie. $500,000.

I wonder for whom Ingordo bought that colt?

If 300 doesn't bring the bucks, it must mean his legs don't reach the ground.
Quality Road x Catch the Moon, who foaled Girvin, Cocked and Loaded, Midnight Bourbon. $1,600,000. Sale topper, I think.

I think so, if he hit his reserve.

I would love for 303 to sell high, because of amazing turf breeding. Lope de Vega x Celestial Woods, who foaled Bobby's Kitten, Camelot Kitten, etc. Lovely chestnut filly. $300,000.
sigh.

307, Curlin x Charm the Maker filly, is a half to Rock Your World. Should bring interest, but bidding is slow.
Picking up...$825,000. Not bad.

Air Force Blue's full brother just hammered at $1M. War Front's second million dollar yearling today. That was the last War Front in the ring today, but there are good ones in session 3.

Starting to remind me a bit of Forestry.
Disagree. I think the better War Fronts are in today's session, not yesterday's (which is supported by the $1.2M War Front filly that just sold). Also, I feel like his books have somewhat dropped off with the introduction of American Pharoah and Justify (a lot of the mares that used to go to War Front are now going to these younger Triple Crown winners), and it's showing in his sales prices. I think a lot of his best bred offspring aren't even making it to the sales now.
Agree to disagree.
He may have better horses in today's book, but Coolmore have dropped off supporting him in favor of their own stallions the last year and as a race horse sire (aside from sales figures), he's sitting at 46th overall right now, with his main earner having earned all of $192,500 so far. For a $150,000 stud fee I'd like to see more consistency. What did he have last year for big winners? He finished 29th on the sire's list behind Violence, English Channel, Looking at Lucky, etc. His leading earner earned $518,000

318 looks like a Tapit; grey, compact, balanced, pretty head, high energy colt. $150,000. RNA?

327, Quality Road x Dacita (Scat Daddy) filly, looks racy. Also is trying to front-kick her handler. Filly with attitude.
$575,000.

I will give you that he's been a disappointing dirt sire in the last year or two. He's sitting 6th in the Turf Sires list, which is a bit off of where he usually is. I don't remember when Forestry fell out of favor, but War Front is 19 and never really had excellent fertility, so I imagine we're approaching the twilight of his stud career. There are plenty of mares who had gone to him in the past but now go to one of his sons instead.

I'll have to find another stallion to follow once he's pensioned.

Interesting white streak down the left shoulder of 331, a big grey Tapit colt out of a Dunkirk mare. The UBS looks strong in this one. $1,300,000.
