Just saw that the $1,900,000 Quality Road x Justwhistledixie is an RNA.
I'm a little surprised that Hip 46 only went for $275k. I thought she was really nice looking, with a proven pedigree.

Whoa, I wonder what the reserve was for the Justwhistledixie.

She is a rangy bay, and still a bit hip high.

Per Michele MacDonald on Twitter:
More yearlings RNA'd or OUT than sold in 1st #KeeSept session. # sold (95) down 18.8% from 2020's 117; gross down $3.963m (9.4%). Avg. price $401,811 up from $360,128. 3 Yearlings sold for $1m or more compared to 5 in 2020. American Pharoah filly tops session at $1.4m

The I'm a Chatterbox filly will be sent to Bill Mott to train.

Hideyuki Mori purchased the three most expensive Justify colts today; including the Classic Empire half-brother. I assume all three colts will be campaigned in Japan.

Question about the RNAs that will be re-offered tomorrow: Are they being sold without reserve, or could they RNA again?

Not many people would reoffer their horse with no reserve.
I saw a note on some article saying Keeneland would rerun some of these no sales and likely sell at 10% under or 10% over what their reserve was.

I was going to ask if anyone knew who they were buying for. Another sold to J.S Company who I think is Japanese as well?
If so, big foreign support for him.

The bloom is certainly off War Front. 5 sold, highest went for $400,000 and that was to Coolmore, who of course own several shares in him. And the dam of that was of course a Galileo daughter, who they used to own....

Starting to remind me a bit of Forestry.

I noticed this as well. Thought it was strange that his yearlings weren’t drawing much attention. Onto younger and better things, I suppose.

Definitely seems like it. With the more recent success of Omaha Beach and War of Will on the 3yo dirt side, I was expecting to maybe see some mares go to him in that vein. Maybe we'll see some more dirt-oriented foals from him in a year or two, versus mostly Euro-bred mares?
