Catalog is up! Although none of the pedigrees are showing for Book 2 yearlings, but I wonder if it’s just because I’m using my phone?
Edit: Yes it’s because of my phone. They loaded fine on my computer

#2 appears to be the only Galileo on that list...I suspect the filly out of I'm a Chatterbox will bring a fair amount of interest.

Does anyone have a link to the live broadcast of the Keeneland Sale that starts tomorrow morning? TIA.

There should be a link on this page tomorrow. (The sale doesn't start until 1 pm because it's Book 1.)

Thanks TBird. If the sale doesn't start until 10 AM Pacific, I should be able to catch the early yearlings.
TVG has been showing some of the interesting yearlings in the sale tomorrow, and I fell in love with a grey Kitten's Joy colt from the family that also gave us the late Roaring Lion. Also just saw #1, a handsome, new-penny chestnut colt by Justify.

TVG just showed the Galileo/I'm a Chatterbox filly, and she is very strong-looking. Sturdy gal.

I'm glad Keeneland finally started adding photo/video. I do wish that the interactive catalog wouldn't switch me back to previous sessions when looking at a page. I went to session 2 and it just kept reopening to session 1. Annoying.
That said, I am realizing that I just am not that interesting in the stallions we have here anymore. My faves have all been shipped out to Japan, Turkey, etc. so these sales are offering me 4 in session 1 that I'm interested in, and that's more for the dams.
Hip 2- Galileo x I'm a Chatterbox
Hip 39- Prince of Truth (Into Mischief x La Verdad)
Hip 57- Connect x Mary’s Follies (1/2 to Regal Glory)
Hip 159- Into Mischief x Stanwyck (dam ½ to Giacomo and Tiago)

Watching the Keeneland Preview show on TVG is like listening to the tagline of Lake Wobegon: where all the women are strong, all the men are good-looking, and all the children are above average. I just love how they interviewed the consignors, and they all gave damn near the same answer to every question. Seriously. Then again, following the sale, one quickly realizes not only is the sire pool very small, but the immediate female families list has been downsized into something that could possibly be fit onto a couple of single-spaced pages.
It would be nice to get a non- consignors perspective and a realistic buyers' agent perspective. Only about 5-10% of those with great pedigrees, "cat-like" walks, and the right angles will end up top notch. I think I heard that acknowledged somewhat once. Then again, it would be nice if horse racing became a sport again and not a breeding for the sales industry. There could be a lot more owners possibly making a profit or at least keep the losses manageable and small breed to race operations if everyone didn't voluntarily sign up to take a bath and jump behind the eight ball on overpriced yearlings. It could also allow more sirelines to show they belong without the pressure of being strictly commercial. For all their glamour, there is a wisp of the over-ripe wafting on the breeze.

I missed the first few yearlings. What did Hips 1 (Justify) and 2 (Galileo) go for?

Hip 1 hammered at 200k, Hip 2 at 725k. I don't know if they sold though. I really liked the Hip 2.

I saw video of the Galileo filly on TVG yesterday and she was pretty impressive.
Hip 12 (Into M x Iotapa) is a strong-looking bay colt. Pretty big, too. $210,000.
