Brother Satchmo (3 year old colt) won a 5F maiden claiming race on turf at Churchill Downs on 5/28. Claiming price was 50K. Winning time was :56.50. That is pretty fast. Next should be either an allowance race or starter race. I think he should do well either way.
Seems to be a strategy these days. If you can get a colt through a race like that (50K maiden claiming) without being claimed, then you have allowance and starter races available to run in. Brother Satchmo wasn't claimed.

Daufuskie Island (2 year old colt) finished 2nd in the 116K Aspirant Stakes at Finger Lakes on Saturday 9/24. He lost by a head bob. The third place horse was more than 9 lengths behind.

Daufuskie Island is entered in the New York Breeders Futurity on 10/18/21, which is next Monday. It is a race for state breds, but it has a purse of over 205K, so it is a good race to win. DI is the second favorite in the early line that has him at 2 to 1. The favorite in the race, Senbei, is listed at even odds, but those odds may change a lot by post time.

Daufuskie Island (2 year old colt) finished 3rd in the 6F $205,179 New York Breeders Futurity, a stakes race for state bred 2 year old colts and fillies. Daufuskie Island is now a multiple stakes placed colt, having previously finished second in the Aspirant Stakes.
My guess is that Daufuskie Island will next race in the 100K Notebook Stakes at Aqueduct on 11/21/2021, a stakes race for 2 year old state bred colts and fillies.

Yes, I think that Goldencents is a bargain at 15K stud fee, and there is also the share the upside program that is working out pretty well for the breeders. Being a son of top stallion Into Mischief doesn't hurt.
