RR: The jammies are so adorable on that baby, and it makes a lot of sense considering the super frigid weather.
No kidding...I worry about all the mares who are starting to drop their foals back in the Heartland or the East. Not all horse breeders have big, heated barns with lots of foaling stalls for their mares. Breeders in places like Texas, Louisiana or even Florida, who never had to worry about mares foaling in outdoor corrals or paddocks as long as they were roofed and had plenty of straw, are now facing foals being dropped in sub-freezing temps. Not good.
The horse supply stores are probably having a hard time keeping foal blankets and heat lamps in stock. And whoever invented those 'jammies may be very popular right now.

It just looks like a sweat shirt or long sleeve t-shirt.BaroqueAgain1 wrote:RR: The jammies are so adorable on that baby, and it makes a lot of sense considering the super frigid weather.

The Frankel foals - how do people think they look? SUper cute, of course, as are all foals, but are there any particular stand-out characteristics yet to note?

With Frankel, we've seen 4 foals, 2 colts and 2 fillies, I think they are absolutely lovely babies, nice bone, BEAUTIFUL heads, a little flash but not too much flash.. I honestly am very pleased with what im seeing, and I think everyone should be excited for more!

This wasn't actually Hansen first foal. Bloodhorse reported it as his first, but his first foal was actually born at Golden Eagle Farm. Margarita Salt foaled a Hansen colt on Jan 16th.
