That's wonderful news! Deep Impact is having almost as -- well -- deep an impact as his sire.

Deep Impact crossed on Galileo has been productive; it's too bad Coolmore didn't have more years to send mares to him.

Tachyon, is Agnes Gold standing in South America or only shuttling there. His record there is phenomenal.

Agnes Gold started his stud career in 2004 at Lex Stud, Japan.Ridan_Remembered wrote: ↑Mon Jun 07, 2021 2:10 pm Tachyon, is Agnes Gold standing in South America or only shuttling there. His record there is phenomenal.
He moved to Lambholm South, Florida, in 2007.
Then he was relocated to Brazil in 2008 to stand permanently over there before he retired from stud duty in 2020 due to an infection.
I think that his success is a miracle --- he had once (or twice) been almost forgotten.
He is certainly a son of Sunday Silence!!

Sometimes getting a stallion to the mares he's compatible with makes all the difference. I'm thrilled that Agnes Gold found success.tachyon wrote: ↑Tue Jun 08, 2021 9:27 amAgnes Gold started his stud career in 2004 at Lex Stud, Japan.Ridan_Remembered wrote: ↑Mon Jun 07, 2021 2:10 pm Tachyon, is Agnes Gold standing in South America or only shuttling there. Breaking news.
Heart's Cry(JPN), 20 years-old son of Sunday Silence, has been retired from stud duty.
2021 babies will be his final crop as he didn't cover any mare this year.

Curious why he didnt breed this year? Health issue or fertility?

His facial marking is almost the same as Zenyatta's, don't you think? That same tornado/twister image. Hers is slightly bigger and more defined, but it's very similar.

Katsumi Yoshida said; ''He sired many G1 winners and already had successor stallions. He has done enough. We now hope he will have a long and happy retirement.''flytpthestars wrote: ↑Mon Jun 21, 2021 10:56 pm

I guess that Yoshida just chose not to force the veteran stallion to breed, as a precaution.
They lost Deep Impact at the age of 17, King Kamehameha at 18 and Kurofune at 23, recently.
