Knowing by now that Spendthrift has purchased Rock Your Worlds breeding rights, any guesses where Medina Spirit will end up at stud? Do you think he will go to Spendthrift alongside Rock Your World? Or WinStar? No idea where mandaloun will stand(I know juddemonte rarely stands their own with the exception of Arrogate and Frankel) and I'm assuming that Essential Quality will go to some Darley division

At this moment, I doubt many farms are drooling over Medina Spirit. He's a GSW which is nice but since his pedigree isn't commercial, the only thing he really has going for him is the fact that he's the Derby winner... for now. Unless he proves he can win Grade 1s fairly, none of the big names are going to stand him.

As for Mandaloun and EQ; big names have stood lesser colts than Mandaloun simply because Into Mischief is so hot, so I have no doubt that he'll find a nice place to land, especially if he's declared the Derby winner. As for Essential Quality, I would expect a stud deal to be announced within the next few months. The juvenile champions are always given a chance, plus he's by Tapit.

Essential Quality will stand at Darley unless a meteorite hits Jonabell.

On the bright side, we'll probably get to see Medina Spirit run at four.

This. It will be interesting to see how Protonico's small crop does; only true haters can deny that Medina Spirit has done enough to draw some attention to his sire, who was not chopped liver.
I ran marathons. I saw the Taj Mahal by Moonlight. I drove Highway 1 in a convertible. I petted Zenyatta.

Protonico is stunning and actually looks (if his photos are any indication) like a classic racing TB.

Sad but true. And it makes me happy we may get to see him run a while.
