"They seek him here, they seek him there, those Frenchies seek him everywhere! Is he in Heaven? Is he in hell? that demmed, Elusive Pimpernel!" There was a British classic winner named Sir Percy Blakeney maybe 20 years ago, that being the name of the hero in Baroness Orczy's classic. "Demmed" being the upperclass wheezy pronunciation of "damned." A pimpernel is a flower that the 'Scarlet Pimpernel" used as his badge.
I ran marathons. I saw the Taj Mahal by Moonlight. I drove Highway 1 in a convertible. I petted Zenyatta.

I can't search to see if this was posted before because "too common words."

He has a darker chestnut spot on his back which muddies the view, but I think the dip in his back is from age (10 this year) and not a swayback. PQ has a picture of him as a yearling/juvenile and he looks normal. A bit short bodied, sure, but the back looks normal.

This is one instance where I would approve a little judicious Photoshopping.Mylute wrote: ↑Fri Apr 09, 2021 5:58 pmHe has a darker chestnut spot on his back which muddies the view, but I think the dip in his back is from age (10 this year) and not a swayback. Diplomat (GER) (Teofilo x Desidera by Shaadi), first-year NH stallion in GB (not to be confused with the American hurdler of the same name). MGSW raced from age 2-8, winner over flat and hurdles. Female family of Animal Kingdom.
IMO this unofficial photo looks better.

Mount Everest (IRE) (Galileo x Six Perfections by Celtic Swing). Standing at Antebell Srl in Italy (no website). Apart from the iffy pasterns he looks as good as his pedigree

Mount Everest and especially Diplomat look like the images were cut out and dropped into their backgrounds. The lighting and focus on Diplomat are so different from his background that it is sore-thumb stickin' out.

Yeah here is the real pic. Like I get them not wanting to use it its a gloomy rainy day but it looks better than that one they are using above.BaroqueAgain1 wrote: ↑Tue May 04, 2021 4:31 pm Mount Everest and especially Diplomat look like the images were cut out and dropped into their backgrounds. It makes more sense, visually, but now I understand why they outlined him.
That tennis ball on his left rear "heel" is trimmed back to a normal shape in the outlined portrait.

Moises Has is a very pretty pony. I wish they had a better picture of Mount Everest, and is that really the best they can do with Diplomat?

I was a fan of Six Perfections as a racehorse, so thank you for the picture of Mount Everest (even if it isn't the greatest).
