Lord Kanaloa has the compact look reminiscent of Northern Dancer. LK is a very attractive stallion.

I have always loved that color and markings. That dark bay coat with the high black points just speaks to me aesthetically. Love it!!Ridan_Remembered wrote: ↑Tue Feb 09, 2021 10:21 pm Lord Kanaloa has the compact look reminiscent of Northern Dancer. LK is a very attractive stallion.

Mendelssohn hollering on his way to the shed. He looks like he could race tomorrow.

No surprise. It’s a shame that he didn’t have much success as I adore Malibu Moon, and he’s had such bad luck with promising colts. It may be that he’s going to be an excellent broodmare sire and won’t have any successful sire sons. I guess this goes to show that having fast working babies at those 2 year old sales doesn’t really man much once runners truly hit the track, because Orb’s first crops sold very well.

Sad to see him go but its not really a surprise. He was given a chance and didn't have it. Breeders gave up on him completely the last couple years. He covered 28 mares in 2019 and 7 in 2020. He only got 2 GSW, the one was a G1SW but she didn't race past age 2, the other was a G2 winner in Panama in November.

Seems like Air Force Blue has really taken off with winners lately.

Frosted's got a nice one down under in Ingratiating, who won his second stakes today. He's also MGSP.
Speaking of down under, hopefully Rugby Girl is OK.

Not really surprised, as I know support for him went off a cliff last year, but honestly I was more expecting Claiborne to either pension him or just have him on their roster as private or something.

Don't know, I just know she's not posted in a while unless I have missed something.

I know he hasn't been a hit recently, but I hope he'll turn into one heckuva a broodmare sire! Whoa Nellie just sold for $450k so there's definitely interest out there.

Thanks Tachyon for posting the video. One thing I noticed there that you couldn't see in the photograph is that he has no white markings anywhere! That doesn't qualify as rare, but It happens infrequently enough to be noticeable, and I really like it myself just for something different!tachyon wrote: ↑Wed Feb 10, 2021 9:15 am Lord Kanaloa
