I LOVE YOU SODASHI!
Is my assumption she has locked up championship honors correct?

Thank you so much for finding it.tachyon wrote: ↑Sun Dec 13, 2020 4:13 amYeah I thought she would get beat by Satono Reinas.Flanders wrote: ↑Sun Dec 13, 2020 3:49 amAwesome. I just saw JRA posted the replay on Youtube. It really didn't look like she won from the camera angle, it was very close. I had to put the video on .25 speed to see she just got it. Tachyon if you can find a photo finish I would love to see the picture.

But she really fought back with her final stride before the finish line.
That was amazing!!!
Here's the photo:

They show the finish from the side on this clip, that was some angle, I couldn't figure out how she won!

Is the Hanshin Juvenile Fillies considered a G1 internationally or just in Japan?

Thank you very much for your information!MorganLeFay wrote: ↑Sat Dec 12, 2020 4:07 pmThe horse in the picture was Lot 791, a colt foal by The Grey Gatsby named Prince de Belair. I doubt the pictured horse is the one mentioned in the headline, but he/she has a very cool blaze.

Even after the colt grays out, he should be quite an eye-catching individual.

If they don’t make his barn name Will, it will be a sad, sad thing.
Ou car ils sont français, peut-être ‘Guillaume’ suffit!

German-bred filly (Areion x Erica, by Mamool) born this year has a very interesting blaze.

You were right!
Sodashi(JPN) was announced the winner of JRA's Best 2yo Filly Award 2020!!
She received 283 votes out of 283 votes.
Needless to say, she is the first white thoroughbred to be honored the championship.

Yearling filly by Juniper Tree out of Alcudia (I Was Framed). The dam is a full-sister to Silvery Moon. This is from a September 2020 FB that said she would be selling in the Scandinavian Open Yearling Sale.
ETA: She was RNA for 80K (I assume) Danish krone.

Interesting shoulder marking on From the Hood, top seller today at Keeneland January. By Street Sense and out of Contrive, she's 1/2 to Folklore (champ 2yo filly and granddam of Contrail) and 1/2 to Delightful Quality (dam of likely 2yo champ Essential Quality). She's in foal to Fast Anna and sold for $375k.

That's cool. I believe Kukulkan (TC winner in Mexico) had a very similar shoulder mark.Falinadin wrote: ↑Wed Jan 13, 2021 11:45 pm Interesting shoulder marking on From the Hood, top seller today at Keeneland January. @Spendthrift Farm
From left to right: Brody's Cause, Free Drop Billy, Malibu Moon, and Lord Nelson.
I somehow missed that Free Drop Billy's left side looks like this.

Sissy Chanel (Tapizar x Passing By, by Raven's Pass) is a multiple stakes winner in Peru. Does she look familiar? Her baby picture is in the 2017 foals thread. She is currently trying to extend a win streak to five! And you could've bought her for $1,300 at the 2018 Keeneland January Sale.

Her face marking reminds me of a deer or cow skull.Mylute wrote: ↑Thu Jan 28, 2021 5:29 pm Sissy Chanel (Tapizar x Passing By, by Raven's Pass) is a multiple stakes winner in Peru. Derma Idaten, 2018 colt https://www.jbis.jp/horse/0001264082/ If its translating right, that is his foal picture.Mylute wrote: ↑Thu Feb 04, 2021 7:07 pm I am not sure who this is, but here's a white colt (?) in Japan. Baby pictures when you scroll.

His dam, Madame Blanc, and 1/2 sister, Yukinko, are both white. I don't think I knew there was a 2nd line of white horses in Japan but its maybe because they haven't done much on the track.

She's just a gray but I like the coloring on this Keen Ice x Palpita (Tapit) filly.
